Week of giveaways: Final Giveaway- ENDED

This week has been pretty much amazeballs. Thank you again to everyone for participating, sending blog love, and for your kind and wonderful comments. I’m truly lucky to *know* all of you, and am also grateful to the companies who generously sponsored the week of giveaways.

Breakfast cookie2

Congratulations to the Home Goods giveaway winner!

Mary:

“I LOVE the poppy flower wall decals in my kitchen. They do a great job brightening up the space.”

Please send me your info (fitnessista at gmail dot com, subject: HOME GOODS WINNER!) and I’ll get your prize on the way 🙂

Today’s giveaway, the final one, is sponsored by one of my all-time favorite workout companies, along with Livi and Bella.

I fell in love with Physique 57 two years ago, and if we had a studio in Tucson, it would be one of my regular workout spots. Nothing has made my thighs thighs and biscuits burn quite like P57. I’m so glad they have DVDs you can do at home if you don’t have a studio near you, and I’ve done the DVDs quite a few times in addition to the usual workout suspects. I see and feel a huge difference when I have P57 in my life, and anytime I’m in NY or LA I’m excited to take a live class.

The winner of this giveaway will receive a volume 2 Physique 57 DVD, courtesy of Physique 57,

NewImage

and will also win a Polar FT40 heart rate monitor, which I’ll order for you,

NewImage

plus a batch of custom macaroons (chocolate, mocha, blonde, super roon with cacao nibs and goji berries, or Meyer-lemon lavender)

NewImage

and whatever Whole Foods/TJs goodies find their way into the box 😉

I absolutely love my Polar heart rate monitor and wear it for all of my high-intensity workouts. Since I know how much I’m burning, I can get an idea of how much more I need to eat that day, and I always push myself a little harder when I can see how hard I’m working. It’s a fantastic workout tool and was even more helpful while I was pregnant, so I knew not to let my heart rate get too crazy high.

-With the Summer Shape Up beginning this week, this giveaway will end on FRIDAY, 6/15.

This giveaway has ended! Congratulations to the winner, Natalie.

This is my favorite giveaway so far the DVDs and the polar monitor are some things I have wanted for a very long time but I could never afford them on my own! There are sooo many reasons I have been reading this blog for the past four years but mainly because you offer so much variety! I love the Focus On post, they may be my favorite and I go back to them frequently whenever I’m deciding to try a new fitness class or DVD. I’m only 21 but I love the family post because I take of a baby full time, and you have been very helpful! I would like to see more videos! Things like how to’s (more hair ideas please!) , product reviews, fitness challenges/ quick workout videos. Hope this helps :)

Thank you so much to all of you for your amazing feedback, comments and sweet wishes. I’m so fortunate to have you in my life, and stay tuned for many more giveaways!

Thank you all so much for reading my little blog and for hanging out with me over here <3

Here’s to another amazing year!

xoxo

I love the variety of your blog. It’s a good mix fitness family and fun. I also really appreciate how
    Real you are. Thank you!

  2. Ali @ Peaches and Football on June 11, 2012 at 9:35 am

I love the blog as-is. You’re one of the few new moms who still has a great mix of baby and non-baby content and I really appreciate that!

  3. Maryz on June 11, 2012 at 9:36 am

I love to hear about Liv and Bella. I also love your work outs. I incorporate a lot of them into my week!

  4. Meghan on June 11, 2012 at 9:37 am

I love the workout tips you post. I also love that you are real – you are willing to share your life and your child with the world which makes me love your site even more.

  5. katie on June 11, 2012 at 9:38 am

Gosh fingers crossed for this one – I’ve been dying to try physique 57 forever! Let’s see what do i love about your blog – EVERYTHING! I love the focus on posts, recipe ideas, and am loving the new fashion posts lately!

  6. Kate on June 11, 2012 at 9:38 am

I just found your blog through Pinterest, and I just love it! Everything I can relate to…food, fitness, family…so fun!

  7. Amanda G. on June 11, 2012 at 9:40 am

I love how you write about your life so openly and honestly! I also love how you made the family page. I too love your Focus On posts for workouts. The ones about Turbo Fire and Insanity actually helped me decide to get them both!

  8. Natalie on June 11, 2012 at 9:41 am

I love the “Focus On” posts. I also like the time you spend talking about things that others perceive as “wrong” or “not healthy.” There was one post a long time ago where you admitted to eating McDonald’s fries with the Pilot which I thought was great, because it showed you weren’t afraid to eat things that aren’t healthy all the time and just enjoy yourself. Things like that make you much easier to relate to and more fun to read!
There’s not anything I really would like to see less of, I love all the content on here.

  9. Sarah on June 11, 2012 at 9:42 am

LOVE the Livi posts on the Family page — I have a 15 month old and am 15 weeks pregnant — and it’s amazing how much you forget about that first year! So, I love reading those posts — you are a great mom!

  10. Tracy on June 11, 2012 at 9:43 am

I love the variety of your blog. The workout tips, food ideas, and family posts. You are so real and down to earth and don’t take either your eating style or workouts to the extreme!!

  11. Emily on June 11, 2012 at 9:44 am

I love hearing about how you balance your life with the little one. I know it can be tough to get in your workout, have dinner cooking of course spend quality time with your family, but you seem to do it flawlessly!

  12. Laura on June 11, 2012 at 9:45 am

I love you workouts page for ideas. Also, it has really helped me when you give 10 ways to squat or lunge-so great to learn! Oh and I did a smoothie a day everyday in May, I drink them almost daily and love trying out new kinds!

  13. Melissa on June 11, 2012 at 9:46 am

What I love about your blog is that you are REALLY health and family focused. The way you haven’t worried about if your jeans fit the same way after your baby, the way you really care about the quality of the food you eat instead of the amount. That you really seem to love exercise and want to get other people motivated. It’s so inspiring!
You are also very real 🙂

  14. Carolyn on June 11, 2012 at 9:46 am

What I love about this blog is your frankness – you come across as someone whose opinions regarding healthy living and fitness I can trust. You seem genuine.

I would like to see even more fitness/product reviews! I love reading reviews of things before I spend my hard earned money!

P.S. Can’t wait for the summer shape up! 🙂

  15. Brittney on June 11, 2012 at 9:46 am

I love your workout recaps. They help keep me motivated. I also like Meg’s post on the Fashion page.

  16. Laura on June 11, 2012 at 9:49 am

I pinned you Thai recipe that gave me the courage to try and cook yummy thai food at home!

  17. Nicole on June 11, 2012 at 9:51 am

Thank you for this amazing giveaway! My favorite aspect of the blog is the recipes and food ideas you share. I love seeing the groceries you buy and how you incorporate them into your weekly meal plan. I’ve gotten some great meal ideas (and fitness ones!) from your blog and look forward to learning more in the future!

  18. Danica @ It's Progression on June 11, 2012 at 9:51 am

I especially love the workouts you post and the reviews you do on specific exercise routines or fads. I also always look forward to your recipes (don’t be shy to share any more! : )

  19. Minerva on June 11, 2012 at 9:51 am

I really dig how you have incorporated your future sis-in-law into the style categories. She has some great and unique style! Love your hair how-tos also. I am mainly looking for recipes at the present moment, but your oldies are definitely goodies. I think we are all wondering how you make such perfect macaroons! But I understand a magicia-err blogger must have her secrets. 😉

  20. liz on June 11, 2012 at 9:51 am

I love the workout program reviews (Insanity, Phys 57, etc.), and I love the workouts that you put together– SSU, WSU, and the random ab/arm/butt burners that you throw in every once in a while. It would be great if you could somehow extract the actual workouts from your normal posts to make them easier to find on the Fitness page.

  21. Ali A. on June 11, 2012 at 9:54 am

I enjoy the blog just the way it is. This is really the only blog that I have found that covers everything from baby to vegan. And you do it with class! My only request, I have stopped ready some of my daily blogs as they all went to facebook format or comments. I detest facebook. lol. Please keep that away.

  22. Kristen DD on June 11, 2012 at 9:55 am

I love your blog and think it is a great mix of everything! I love you recipe concoctions so maybe more of them would be great!!

  23. nicole on June 11, 2012 at 9:56 am

I love the workouts (!!) and food tips. I love the new way you show the workouts (Instragram is it?). Keep up the great blogging <3

  24. Sidney Smith on June 11, 2012 at 9:57 am

Love the schweaty workouts (and just the workouts in general). I especially loved the May Schweaty workout with the weight circuit and 20 minutes of HIIT. More DVD reviews would be great!

  25. Emily on June 11, 2012 at 9:58 am

I absolutely love when you post workouts – I immediately print so that they can tag along with me at the gym!!!! I’m getting married next April and I’m not trying anything crazy because I’m happy with my body – but I want to be the best me possible!!!

  26. kim on June 11, 2012 at 10:01 am

I love workout posts and your his/her meals 🙂

  27. Julie on June 11, 2012 at 10:02 am

I love everything about your blog, we are extremely similar in our fitness evolution (have been reading since late 2008) so it is so much fun to see how you evolve in relation to myself. I guess the only selfish thing I would change that I used to LOVE on here, is more vegan recipes. I don’t have any issues with the meat, to each their own, but I used to love trying to replicate your recipes!

  28. Alex on June 11, 2012 at 10:03 am

DO NOT change a THING about your blog! I found your blog about 2 months ago and have been hooked since! I always find time to read your blog every day because your positivity and healthy (yet manageable) perspective on life is contagious! I love the recipe ideas and workouts and your adorable sweet baby girl!! I just got married a year ago and cannot wait to start a family of my own 🙂 I am starting the Summer Slim Down and am SO excited after looking at the meal plan! Cant wait to see the workout portion!!

  29. Caitlin on June 11, 2012 at 10:03 am

I love how you have all of your workout posts in one spot! It makes it easier to choose one. Thanks!

  30. Jessica Y on June 11, 2012 at 10:03 am

I love your workout ideas and seeing your daily eats – definitely helps with my own 🙂

I would Love to see more recipes:)

  32. Conni Jo on June 11, 2012 at 10:05 am

I love the variety of the blog- from fitness, relationships, friendships, motherhood, and food. I love how you put pictures of the workouts your explaining so that I know exactly how to do them. The only thing that I would like to see more of would be actuall videos of the workouts. I found your blog 2 years ago and I am so happy that I did! Thank you for such great advice!

  33. Liz on June 11, 2012 at 10:05 am

  35. Amy on June 11, 2012 at 10:07 am

I love how much of the blog you devote to talking about your family life- it makes it feel intimate which I don’t get with a lot of other blogs. But I would like to see more recipes on the blog for sure! (Vegan, please?!?) Overall I really enjoy your blog Gina 🙂

  36. Liz on June 11, 2012 at 10:08 am

I pinned your breakfast cookie recipe. I need a reminder to make it at night!

  37. cadence on June 11, 2012 at 10:09 am

I’m curious about how you budget– time and money, but actually maybe more about money, since you have a finance background and I’m curious.
    Thanks!

  41. Sarah Shaffer on June 11, 2012 at 10:11 am

First, thank you. I don’t tend to follow blogs, but I stumbled upon yours one day and I just thought it was important to let you know that you’ve literally helped change my life. I’ve battled different “flavors” of eating disorders for at least the past decade, and have finally, at 37 years old really found victory. Your blog, believe it or not, was a huge part of that. You don’t know me at all and yet you’ve helped changed my relationship with food. Though you don’t know me, I refer to you on a first name basis (smile). Your style of eating has really inspired me and God has used you in my life to help show me how to finally enjoy food. You helped lead me into a place where I felt comfortable gettin’ a little funky with my eating. It’s fun! How amazing that is for me. Anyway, I just wanted to sincerely thank you for the time you take to do your blog and for sharing the “Gina style of eating” with gals like me. I would love, love, love to continue to see you share more of your “what I ate today” types of entries, they really help inspire me to think outside the box too. I wish you and your super cute family nothing but health, joy and vibrancy!

  42. Julie G on June 11, 2012 at 10:11 am

I love the workout posts – and seeing pics of that cute little lady!

  43. Kate on June 11, 2012 at 10:12 am

I love how positive you are are and your food philosophy! Your recipes are fantastic and you’ve been a great role model for me. Visiting your blog has helped me keep myself motivated over the last 11 months as I’ve lost 30 pounds. Thank you for your dedication! I hope you continue to post daily and I’m always interested in new recipes.

  44. Andrea P on June 11, 2012 at 10:12 am

I love the variety of topics on your blog. Food, fitness, fashion, and family, all things I love! 🙂

  45. Bonnie on June 11, 2012 at 10:13 am

I’m not a parent so I didn’t think I’d care much about your family posts, but they’ve become my favorite part of the blog! Livi is the cutest baby I’ve ever seen. 🙂

  46. Andrea on June 11, 2012 at 10:14 am

I know you are the Zumba queen, but I would LOVE to see some more yoga-based workouts, tips, etc. Oh and more Livi photos and stories, I guess those would be okay too 🙂 Congrats on such a milestone lady!

  48. Vicki on June 11, 2012 at 10:16 am

I love how your blog covers fitness, fashion, healthy food. Your writing style is great 🙂 keep it coming!

  49. Laurie on June 11, 2012 at 10:17 am

I love so much about your blog! Most of all, I love the balance you portray between being a mother, a wife, employed, and focused on health. It gives me inspiration that I too might be able to maintain that balance.

As far as what I would want to see next year, maybe shorter workouts (for those of us who are not as regularly working out or as fit as you!), maybe workouts designed to target specific areas on the body giving multiple methods for working on one area.. Hard to say because your blog is already so great!

  50. Amna on June 11, 2012 at 10:17 am

I love the quick wknd workouts you post!
