Week of giveaways: Final Giveaway- ENDED

This week has been pretty much amazeballs. Thank you again to everyone for participating, sending blog love, and for your kind and wonderful comments. I’m truly lucky to *know* all of you, and am also grateful to the companies who generously sponsored the week of giveaways.

Congratulations to the Home Goods giveaway winner!

Mary:

“I LOVE the poppy flower wall decals in my kitchen. They do a great job brightening up the space.”

Please send me your info (fitnessista at gmail dot com, subject: HOME GOODS WINNER!) and I’ll get your prize on the way 🙂

Today’s giveaway, the final one, is sponsored by one of my all-time favorite workout companies, along with Livi and Bella.

I fell in love with Physique 57 two years ago, and if we had a studio in Tucson, it would be one of my regular workout spots. Nothing has made my thighs thighs and biscuits burn quite like P57. I’m so glad they have DVDs you can do at home if you don’t have a studio near you, and I’ve done the DVDs quite a few times in addition to the usual workout suspects. I see and feel a huge difference when I have P57 in my life, and anytime I’m in NY or LA I’m excited to take a live class.

The winner of this giveaway will receive a volume 2 Physique 57 DVD, courtesy of Physique 57,

NewImage

and will also win a Polar FT40 heart rate monitor, which I’ll order for you,

NewImage

plus a batch of custom macaroons (chocolate, mocha, blonde, super roon with cacao nibs and goji berries, or Meyer-lemon lavender)

NewImage

and whatever Whole Foods/TJs goodies find their way into the box 😉

I absolutely love my Polar heart rate monitor and wear it for all of my high-intensity workouts. Since I know how much I’m burning, I can get an idea of how much more I need to eat that day, and I always push myself a little harder when I can see how hard I’m working. It’s a fantastic workout tool and was even more helpful while I was pregnant, so I knew not to let my heart rate get too crazy high.

-With the Summer Shape Up beginning this week, this giveaway will end on FRIDAY, 6/15.

This giveaway has ended! Congratulations to the winner, Natalie.

This is my favorite giveaway so far the DVDs and the polar monitor are some things I have wanted for a very long time but I could never afford them on my own! There are sooo many reasons I have been reading this blog for the past four years but mainly because you offer so much variety! I love the Focus On post, they may be my favorite and I go back to them frequently whenever I’m deciding to try a new fitness class or DVD. I’m only 21 but I love the family post because I take of a baby full time, and you have been very helpful! I would like to see more videos! Things like how to’s (more hair ideas please!) , product reviews, fitness challenges/ quick workout videos. Hope this helps :)

Thank you so much to all of you for your amazing feedback, comments and sweet wishes. I’m so fortunate to have you in my life, and stay tuned for many more giveaways!

Thank you all so much for reading my little blog and for hanging out with me over here <3

Here’s to another amazing year!

xoxo

I love the workout DVD reviews, recipes, and all of the posts about being a mommy/taking care of a little one (including baby product reviews).

I have painful scar tissue in one of my knees, so I am always looking for low impact exercises I can mix in that still burn lots of calories!

  2. Irene on June 11, 2012 at 10:21 am

I think I’ve said this before, but I really like the “focus on” posts, especially about some of the new and crazy workouts out there. I would love more posts about really good workout DVDs and work outs that can be done at home. Also, I’ve been hearing a lot about intuitive eating on other HLBs and would like to hear your thoughts on it too!

  3. Beth on June 11, 2012 at 10:22 am

I love your food ideas. Sometimes, I really don’t know what to do to make a meal complete, but seeing your lunches and breakfasts combos really helps. Also, I love updates on your daughter. She is so adorable! 🙂

Your blog has been a real eye opener for me Gina. Your blog has changed my life. I think my family gets sick of hearing me talk about your blog so much. I have really changed my life around since I started reading. I love how you dont judge people and you are so willing to share your weight loss story with everyone. You are an inspiration and someone who I aspire to be one day. I like how you always seem to have something nice to say every day and even when you dont you give me a good laugh! I have absolutely NO complaints for you. I love the blog just the way it is!

  5. Laura on June 11, 2012 at 10:22 am

You are so inspiring, a Mom and instructor, you show me that it’s possible to be busy and put family first, but still take time to look after yourself and feel amazing. I love your Dvd Reviews, and you’ve inspired me to do lots of different kinds of workouts, like zumba and hot yoga that normally I would never have tried! I would love to see even more of your workouts and more Dvd review.

  6. Beverly on June 11, 2012 at 10:23 am

Your blog is amazing and I love how dedicated you are to it! I really appreciate how you post so many exercise moves and fitness plans…all for FREE. 🙂 I think it’s easy for readers to forget how much time, effort and energy goes into this blog, and you haven’t comprised the quality or content at all since expanding your family. Honestly, I don’t know how you do all that you do but I am extremely grateful to have such a positive place in the interwebs to visit each day!

  7. Kim on June 11, 2012 at 10:24 am

I wouldn’t ask you to change anything about the blog! I think it’s awesome just the way it is- I love the workouts, eats, family posts and cool pics of Tucson. And of course the fashion posts from Meg- she seems like such a sweetheart! Everything is great!

  8. Niki on June 11, 2012 at 10:25 am

I love your blog, my favorite part is how often you update it. I work at an office job that has a lot of free time so it’s nice to have something to look forward to often!! I also love seeing how your life is changing with your new addition, her little pictures always make me smile!!

  9. Katelyn on June 11, 2012 at 10:25 am

I love your cheery attitude, and how eclectic your blog posts are. You give amazing suggestions for products to try, recipes to make, and workouts that burn my biscuits in the best way possible! You are such a talented chef, and I would LOVE more recipe posts! I can’t get enough!!!

  10. Lauren on June 11, 2012 at 10:26 am

    Hi Gina –

I really love your blog. You inspire me to get my butt moving and to eat well! And Livi? Well … she’s beyond adorable and I love to see her pop up on the blog too 🙂

My favorite posts are your daily meals and routine. I’d like to see more of what workouts you’re doing throughout the week – as in frequency and if you’re doing more cardio or more weights or what your routine is with teaching in the mix. I love how frequently you post and always look forward to reading your blog when it pops up in bloglovin 🙂

  14. Becki on June 11, 2012 at 10:28 am

I love the layout of the blog.(so don’t change it!:)) i’d love to see more printables that I could take with me to the gym. In general, just keep going the way you do. 😉

  15. Alex on June 11, 2012 at 10:31 am

Thanks for sharing your stories with us, Gina..especially the ones related to family. You’ve definitely whipped back into shape since giving birth, so I’d love to see more of what you’re doing specifically to tone up (workouts, food intake, etc.) Thanks!

  16. Pam August on June 11, 2012 at 10:32 am

I pinned an old post about making a meal out of your smoothie! http://pinterest.com/pin/196328864976157949/

  17. Kristin on June 11, 2012 at 10:33 am

There is so much I really love about your blog. I look forward to reading yours everyday. I only have a small handful of blogs I follow but this is the one that motivates me the most. Your recipes I’ve tried have been really good. Also I love how you can print out all your workouts you post. I save them in a big binder along with other workouts I keep. I like how you always post what you eat because I feel like I’m always looking for fresh ideas on what to eat or cook. Plus you post what the Pilot eats which is nice to know you try to eat somewhat differently. Its so hard to try to eat healthy once married! I struggle with that often. You are doing an awesome job!!

  18. Liz on June 11, 2012 at 10:35 am

I’ve been reading your blog for awhile, and always find it helpful. I sometimes have trouble finding previous workouts, but when I just went to look, they’re all there! I will say it wasn’t intuitive to me that the Focus On posts would be on the Fun page, but now that I know they are there, that’s where I will look for them! 🙂

  19. Alex on June 11, 2012 at 10:35 am

    pinned your Whole Grain Crepes!

  20. Jane on June 11, 2012 at 10:35 am

I love your blog- especially the mix of fitness tips and tidbits about your baby and family life. My absolute favorite posts though? Reviews of fitness classes/techniques/DVD’s – super service to your readers! I also love when you incorporate nutritional information and other health information into your “regular posts.” Real “Ed-utainment” hahaha.

  21. Kelly on June 11, 2012 at 10:36 am

Love your blog! Would like to see more pics of that beautiful baby of yours 🙂

  22. Jaimee on June 11, 2012 at 10:36 am

I love checking out your blog during my day! My favorite posts are workout related!

  23. Lesley on June 11, 2012 at 10:37 am

I enjoy the workouts you put together along with how often you update your blog. I would love to see more recipes.

  24. Laura on June 11, 2012 at 10:38 am

Your blog was the first food/fitness blog I ever found, and have been reading it daily for 2+ years! Your blog is awesome! I enjoy following, and always look forward to new posts 🙂

  25. Ramani on June 11, 2012 at 10:38 am

Gina, I think you know how much I LOVE your blog but here goes again. 🙂 I went through a tough period recently of unemployment for a few months and can honestly tell you the positive tone and humor of your blog was something I looked forward to each and every day. Not only was it a joy to watch Livi grow, I got back on the diet and exercise track thanks to you. I knew that if you could do it, I could do it. And I did, I have lost 5 pounds already and am in positive spirits that I will find another job really soon.

As far as changes- I love your videos so much and would love to see more. Whether you’re curling your hair or teaching me to make a breakfast cookie. I also love seeing how you eat out while still staying on track! And weekly pics of Liv are always welcome. :):) Keep up the great work, it’s weird but I feel like I know you. 🙂 Thank you!!

  26. Lindsey on June 11, 2012 at 10:39 am

I love love love your blog! The only thing I would like to see more of is baby advice posts (since I have a girl around the same age).

  29. Jenn on June 11, 2012 at 10:41 am

I love all the family updates, I had a baby around the same time as you, so I get lots of tips. But I also love that you still do all the fitness posts!

  30. Kristen on June 11, 2012 at 10:42 am

I love the balance of your blog! It’s hard to find blogs that focus equally on workouts/food/balanced life!

  31. hope on June 11, 2012 at 10:43 am

I love fitnessista! It is awesome to get fitness advice, workouts, and meal ideas from someone who does this everyday! Reading your blogs about your beautiful family and life is so fun – your attitude is always so positive! Your week of giveaways has been pretty fun too. 😉

  32. hope on June 11, 2012 at 10:44 am

    repinned/tweeted!

  33. Carrie on June 11, 2012 at 10:44 am

I can’t even tell you how many times I find myself recommending your blog as information/inspiration to people who are new to getting serious about fitness. I love it, and I believe in what you says here. As far as feedback, I’d say keep up with the workouts with pictures. I don’t always have time to sit and watch videos, and clicking back and forth to other websites to see how to do an exercise I’m familiar with, but can’t quite put my finger on, is also a bit of a time waster. I love the snapshots; they remind of the exercise right away, and I can take print the workout and go. Hope that helps!

  34. Jessica on June 11, 2012 at 10:44 am

I love your recipes. That is my favorite part of the blog. Keep them coming!

I love that you’re down to earth but have helpful and real advice for fitness. I’d love if you made your own workout video!

  37. Chelsea on June 11, 2012 at 10:51 am

I love everything about your blog! 🙂 If I had to narrow it down I would say I really enjoy the family page and focus on posts. Often times I will refer to one of your focus on posts when I am deciding on a new workout (I did this for insanity and found it extremely helpful!) I also just love being able to see how you live a healthy life and balance fitness, family, and healthy eating with everyday life.

  40. Amanda H on June 11, 2012 at 10:53 am

I love that there are new blog entries daily or even more than once daily. I would like to see more nutrition advice for someone who doesn’t know how to and doesn’t have time to cook – I think your recipes and salad beasts are very helpful already, though!
