Spinach, bananas, 2% plain Greek yogurt, cookies ‘n’ cream/chocolate protein powder, ground flax seed, maybe some carrots (I use smoothies as a get-rid-of-veggies-about-to-die delivery system. :P) and that’s about it! I might add some peanut butter or milk to add a bit more flavor, though. 🙂

Graham cracker pp, almond milk and strawberries-so good!

  17. Lili on June 8, 2012 at 5:37 pm

Let’s see, I started really loving smoothies after following your blog and seeing all the different things you can add to a smoothie (spinach, flax seed, etc) to make them yummy and extra healthy. However, it was a guest post from PB Fingers that got me addicted. I think it was her “Green Smoothie Mocha” one. Frozen banana, spinach, cocoa powder, chocolate protein powder and instant coffee. Just a perfect kick in the pants in the morning!

  18. Kacie L on June 8, 2012 at 5:41 pm

I love most smoothies. I like mango, pineapple, bannana, spinach, and almond milk. Sometimes I add protein powder. I like most fruits. I make a bunch of different combinations a put them in a freezer so all I have to do is add them to my blender.

  22. Jamie on June 8, 2012 at 5:42 pm

i love to make big thick ice cream like smoothies that i eat with a spoon!! im a chocolate peanut butter fan so here is one of my favorites: 1.5 scoops chocolate protein powder, 1 tbsp pb2 or regular peanut butter, half frozen banana, 1 tbsp cocoa powder, stevia packet, xantham gum (thickening agent), almond milk, ice

**to make it extra thick you can freeze almond milk in ice cube trays– and the frozen fruit acts like ice too. the result is a big thick smoothie!

  23. brittany on June 8, 2012 at 5:43 pm

My favorite smoothie (and has been since I was a very little bambina) is frozen blueberries or mixed berries and OJ with chocolate or vanilla protein powder. As I got older I added more things to it to change it up but as you said about the Lara bars, the original never fails!

My smoothie base is always 1 scoop of protein, 1/2 cup of almond milk, and a 1/2 cup of coconut milk. I throw in a variety of fruit, spinach, and other additives (spices, nuts/nut butter, etc.) I like to freeze fresh fruit and use that in lieu of ice cubes.

  50. Aubrey on June 8, 2012 at 5:57 pm

And I’m following you on open sky;) thank you!
