Hi guys! How are ya? Hope you’re having a lovely morning <3
Since I’ve been feasting on b-fast cookie dough cereal for a few weeks now, I thought it would be fun to do a how-to post similar to the original breakfast cookie post
There are two versions: Original and Raw
For the original version:
1. In a bowl, add 1/3-1/2 C oats, 1/2 scoop protein powder of choice (Sun Warrior is my fave), cinnamon, pinch of sea salt, a lil vanilla extract and some Stevia or sweetener of choice
2. Mix well to combine. Add 1-2 T of your favorite nut butter and using a spoon, break up and stir until mixture resembles crumbly cookie dough.
3. Top with at least 1 C milk of choice, and then add fun toppings. Get crazy
I love goji berries, cacao nibs, banana, peaches, strawberries… the possibilities are endless.
4. Feast

For the raw version:
1. In a bowl, soak 1/3-1/2 C oat groats (available in the bulk section of most health food stores) overnight.
2. Drain and rinse the groats, then add them to a small food processor. Pulse to break up the oat groats a bit. Add 1/2 scoop protein powder (Sun Warrior will keep the “raw” integrity of the oats), 1-2 T raw nut butter, cinnamon, pinch of sea salt and a little sweetener if you’d like. Pulse to combine.
Mixture will be crumbly:
3. Transfer mixture to a bowl and add 1 C fresh nut milk (love almond milk) and toppings of choice.
4. Feast

So there ya go! Please let me know if any of ya’ll try it
It’s a perfect breakfast choice for Summer, but I can definitely see myself getting into hot oats again when the weather changes.
I’m off to do some yoga and then get back to the packing/moving beast.
See ya later today with a post on fall change/resolutions and a re-visit to the ol’ inspiration board.
xoxo,
Gina

Hi! I just want to firstly tell you that you’re an inspiration to me!
So pretty much my situation is i had been eat cleaning for months. to me that meant a meal plan like oats, egg whites, cinnamon, chia seeds for breakfast and lean chicken turkey, sweet potatoes, coconut oil and lots of veggies for other meals. I was very clean and was strict on sodium and macros. i worked out almost every morning and i was lean and toned. i followed lots of your recipes and ideas too!:) but then i went on a three week vacation. i binged everyday. i would stuff myself full of ben and Jerry’s, ritz crackers, peanut m&ms, animal crackers, sushi, chocolate and other junk. i never enjoyed any of it though,i would punish myself by eating. i am depriving myself of veggies, water and wearing makeup because i hate myself now. i am not sure why either. anyway now i crave all that junk. i used to never crave that crap:( i am so frustrated i dont have the small, cute, toned body i used to! i put on 10 lbs!! 10 real lbs, its not water weight cuz its been a while. i am chunky, cellulitely, and self conscious. i have a small frame so 10 lbs looks bad. i am kinda lost in what to do. somedays i just cry myself to sleep because i am so repulsed by the way i look. i want to get out of this rut! i want to be small and lean again, i just feel like i have no self control because i seriously eat so much(emotional though).i cant feel full or hunger so its hard to know when to stop. i feel the desire to eat and i feel cranky when its been over 4 hours.. Anyway, what do you suggest? what are your thoughts? would a strict meal plan help? maybe with a few treats then cut down throughout the week? i am so desperate for help! Well, thank you!
XOXO,
Lisa
hey girl,
thank you so much for reading my blog and i’m so sorry to hear you’re going through this. i definitely recommend seeking help from a local rd or specialist in your area to see if they can help you overcome the emotional side of your dilemma. i’m proud of you for realizing that something is wrong and that you want to take steps to take care of your health and your body. i think the easier you are on yourself, the easier it will be for you to find a balance that helps you achieve your goals while allowing you to enjoy the things you love.
sending the best wishes to you. show yourself love and patience- you deserve kindness from yourself <3
xoxo
