Friday Faves

Hi friends!! Three cheers for the weekend. What are you up to?? Any fun plans? We are hitting the road to go camping with a group of friends. It’s Penelope’s first time camping, sooooo please pray for us haha. We figure if we miss one night of sleep it will just be enough to remind us of the newborn days. 😉 I’m also taking an Orangetheory class, reserving a jumping castle and making food orders for P’s birthday party (!) and excited to spend some time disconnecting after a lot of behind-the-scenes computer work. In a nutshell, I’ve been working on a lot of free content for you guys, and I’ll be so excited when it’s all out there!

Faves from the week and around the web:

2 solid days of rain. My neglected plants have needed it, and it was so fun to splash around in puddles with Liv.

Mommy and daughter rain boots

(wearing these rain boots)

TJ’s new food finds: this grain-free granola and olive oil spray. I ran out of my beloved Chosen Foods spray and was stoked to see this at Trader Joe’s. As far as the granola goes, it was ok.

Trader joes finds

(That bag lasted 3 days.)

This Madewell shirt dress. I ordered it as part of the Anniversary Sale, looking for one of those easy, throw-on, but still look put-together pieces. I have worn it SO many times and get compliments each time. I like that it’s casual to wear everyday, but that I can wear it with low-top sneakers to run around with the girls, or with booties.

A beautifully-written read about some of the many complexities of motherhood.

I just love Ina Garten so much.

Also, I can’t believe how fast orange theory has been popping up all over the place but I’ve heard good things!

I have a question re Fabletics, how is their customer service? I have been wanting to sign up but I have read horror stories online from others when they have tried to cancel their membership.

    • Fitnessista on September 23, 2016 at 10:46 am

i haven’t had to use their customer service. when i used justfab, i had to connect with them a couple of times about canceling my account but it wasn’t bad. they just make you call instead of doing it on the phone

It has been raining non-stop up here, too! I think I’m just going to take the plunge and run with the stroller (with a cover) in the rain. I want to run outside as much as possible before it’s too snowy/icy to take the stroller!

    • Fitnessista on September 23, 2016 at 10:45 am

you are a brave one. the kiddos seem to like the rain, though!

  8. Emily on September 23, 2016 at 10:06 am

ahhh camping sounds fun! i have the best memories of camping trips with my girl scout troop as a kid 🙂 hope the girls enjoy it just as much!

P’s smile is just the cutest! it just doesn’t seem possible that she will be one soon – didn’t you just announce your pregnancy?!?

  10. Jessie R on September 23, 2016 at 2:27 pm

I LOVE Anastasia! I busted out the DVD earlier this year, and my boyfriend didn’t get they hype…. I remember listening to the soundtrack ALL the times. Such cute girls 🙂 glad you got some rain! Have fun camping

Have fun camping! Hopefully you’ll get sleep. The disconnecting should help!

  13. Lauren @ The Bikini Experiment on September 24, 2016 at 10:46 am

Your plants look gorgeous. Rain can be very welcome as long as it does not hang around too long.

  14. Bethany @ Dose of Discovery on September 25, 2016 at 8:57 am

I’m trying an Orangetheory class for a charity event in a few weeks and I’m so excited! Can’t wait to check it out. We just got back from a Ragnar Relay Trail Race. 128+ miles in 24 hours! I just plan to sleep for the rest of the weekend. 🙂 Looking forward to hearing how camping went!
