  11. Megan S on June 8, 2012 at 10:27 am

Tree pose! It’s always a good indicator of how tired I am.

  12. Kimmoy on June 8, 2012 at 10:33 am

So interesting how many of us are in love with hip opening postes, guess I’m not the only one who needs to stretch this area multiple times a day. I love the single leg pigeon pose. Works wonders for my hips and tush. I also foam roll those areas on a regular too.

As a side note, I love Cassey! She’s so cheerful in all of her workouts and sure knows how to make your muscles BURN!

  13. Jessica B on June 8, 2012 at 10:36 am

I don’t really have a fav pose as I am just beginning yoga but I must say I had a hard time relaxing at first and the more i continue practicing the better i get at being able to just let my mind go and not worry.

  14. Nic on June 8, 2012 at 10:38 am

I also love downdog, especially when partnered with someone else who’s pushing back on my hips/lower back AAAHHHHHHHHH. My personal challenge is to do downdog on the wall for 5 breaths.

  15. Tracy on June 8, 2012 at 10:39 am

The pigeon pose! I love the stretch it gives in the hips!

  18. Meghan on June 8, 2012 at 10:43 am

Reading this on a Friday morning I thought – gosh, what yoga pose is my favorite? After racking my brain for my top top favorite, the one that I can really relax, and let go of my day…I was reminded of the serious yoga class I was in once…everyone was sweaty, hot, working hard, straight-faced and we got in to baby pose. I love baby pose! It’s fun to do and I love the stretch it gives my runner’s legs! Well, the gentleman next to me was so relaxed, and stretching into his belly so hard that he let out a toot! I knew the whole class heard it and i was the only one trying to hold back giggles, but I couldn’t! I started chuckling to myself IN BABY POSE on the floor! it was one of those times you’re trying so hard to hold in the laughter that it hurts!

What a great giveaway! I’m a huge fan of Casseys as well! My favorite pose would probably be dolphin. I love the shoulder exercise I get from it and it feels great on my lower back. I’m actually trying my first bikram class tonight. Hope it’s as great as you’ve made it seem in past posts!

  41. Yvette on June 8, 2012 at 11:26 am

My favorite pose is Savasana (Corpse Pose). For several reasons. It is a total body and mind exercise. It is similar to a good stretch — I feel so open and relaxed afterword. At the the time it is a mental exercise in stilling the mind and being present. And finally, because it comes at the end of a yoga session, it also means I’ve just accomplished something.

  42. britt on June 8, 2012 at 1:19 pm
