Elves at work

Iโ€™m not the only one in this family with a snowman obsession ๐Ÿ˜‰

bell

How are yaโ€™ll doing?? Hope your weekend is going well so far!

The pilot and I slept in this morning.. and it felt soooooo good ๐Ÿ˜€

Something even better?

Breakfast was PINK!

bfast (2)

I hate pink, in case you couldnโ€™t tell ๐Ÿ˜‰

Into the Vitamix went:

-1 cup almond milk

-5 drops vanilla Stevia

-1 scoop vanilla Sun Warrior

– 1/2 cup organic frozen strawberries

-1 banana

-1 T almond butter + a little more for my face garnish

It was pretty unbe-freaking-lievable.

After bfast, the pilot and I self off on our Elfish duties of buying Christmas presents. We hit up Hizzle Lizzle (aka Hobby Lobby), the sad excuse for a mall, Targizzle, AT & T (I can tether my internet from the crackberry to the laptop now!!! Thatโ€™s some pretty bomb diggity technology right there), and Publizzle for groceries. With the exception of two gifts, WEโ€™RE DONE!!!!!!!! Yahoooooo!

A sneak peek of one of the more interesting gifts we purchasedโ€ฆ.

head

(The receiver of this one is going to love it)

When we got back to the casa, we were both starving, so the pilot busted into his Publix sushi and I busted into this spicy hummus

spicy

With some delicious dippers, including herbed olives and some Kale Hemp flatbread from my favorite twins

dippr

It was everything I could have wished for ๐Ÿ˜€

We went to the gym (I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and 20 minutes of hill walking) and are about to go see Avatar! Has anyone seen it??

Have a great night <3

Love,

G

Something to talk about: Whatโ€™s your favorite winter or holiday tradition?? Mine is making vegan goodies and tamales at the madreโ€™s house. Last year, I made some bloggy baked goodies and tried carob for the first time ๐Ÿ˜€

My favorite holiday tradition is baking cookies with all the ladies of the family- my mom, sister, and her 2 girls. It’s so much fun spending a day in the kitchen baking and catching up. I simply love it!

Wasn’t it scary out there today! I did a lot of my holiday shopping this afternoon today, too, and it was a madhouse out there! Yikes. Nice to have it *mostly* done, though ๐Ÿ˜€
Let us know how you like Avatar! The husband went to go see it today, and said it was OK.

My family ices and decorates sugar cookies the day before Christmas eve. It’s such a fun tradition, especially when my young neice and nephew get involved.

What a great picture of your sweet puppy! My favorite tradition is going to Christmas Eve service, then coming home to eat chili and tamales. We wake up on Christmas to open stockings, presents, work out, and eat. ๐Ÿ™‚

love love love to bake. I have a quick question if you get a chance! My family is definitely not vegan, maybe one vegetarian and one gluten-free eater, but I wanted to be sneaky and try some vegan cookies out on them. Any suggestions for something with ingredients that I might be able to find in my non-veganized kitchen? Thanks if you can suggest something!

    • Fitnessista on December 20, 2009 at 10:03 am

      try the almond butter cookies!
      http://fitnessista.com/?p=2152
instead of spelt flour, use gluten free baking mix for the gluten-free family member and you should be golden ๐Ÿ˜€
veggiegirl (veggiegirlvegan.blogspot.com also has a TON of gluten-free vegan recipes. i made her caramel carob loaf last year and it was amazing)

  21. Nicole on December 20, 2009 at 9:01 am

Gina – random question but where do you order your food supplies from? I remember you saying something about a website but I can’t remember or find it. Thanks!

    • Fitnessista on December 20, 2009 at 9:50 am

earth shift!!! great stuff and their prices are excellent ๐Ÿ˜€

Your Pink breakfast looks delish! I tried my very first GM yesterday but didn’t have any berries. Needless to say they’re now on the grocery list.
My fav holiday tradition is my parent’s Christmas Eve party. They’ve had this party for as long as I can remember and I really enjoying seeing our friends and family. Some of which I only see once a year. Happy Holidays!

  31. Rachel on December 21, 2009 at 10:22 pm

My husband and I have started a new tradition this year to celebrate our new marriage: every year we’re going to buy a Christmas ornament to represent something that happened that year. This year, of course, we bought one representing our marriage. Once we have kids, I’d like to keep that tradition alive and buy them one each year to represent something important in their lives.

  32. Racheal - Girl on a Mission on December 22, 2009 at 10:07 am

What’s Publizzle? And what are the other two store you grocery shop at?
