Chillin’ at the Hizzy + a fun photoshoot
Hi guys! Howโs the day going?? Anything exciting on the weekend horizon? Iโm attending a fitness event here in town and my cousin (and her NEW BABY) will be here. I can hardly wait to snuggle that little guy.
Today, I thought Iโd share the day two recap from our Stitch Fix LUNA trip. (Day 1 is here!) They packed the few days with lots of fun activities, and the second day was my personal favorite because we got to check out the Hizzy.
I could stare at rows of clothes all dayโฆ.
The Hizzy is no joke the size of a Costco and lined with rows of clothes and accessories. (Dreamland, right?!) Iโve had the opportunity to visit once before, and while many aspects of the warehouse remain the same (a fashionable and fun staff working away to assemble fixes and rocking out to amazing music), some are entirely different. It was fascinating to see how the process to assemble fixes has become even more streamlined over the past few months. Before, the employees would receive a sheet of paper will all of the clientsโ pieces for that fix. Theyโd go to each section and grab the items before they were placed to fold and pack. Now a computer projects exactly what the fix pieces look like, and itโs easy to run around and quickly grab the items for that fix.
We were schooled on folding technique:
(literally. Those guys can fold quickly and beautifully!)
and got to assemble our own fixes.
I hope Ann loves it! ๐
No trip would be complete without a pic by the famous box monster.
(A little trivia: the box monsterโs wife lives at their new warehouse. Theyโre doing the long distance thing.)
After a fun morning at the Hizzy, we had a little surprise photo shoot. We were treated to Dry Bar (which I already declared my love and obsession for) and headed back to the headquarters for makeup, outfits and photos. The pictures were taken just for fun to be shared on our own blogs and possibly the Stitch Fix blog in a later post.
(with Nicole, Anne, Monica, Brittany, Danny, Julie, Sarah and Bex)
Even though photo shoots are a blast, Iโm super goobery at taking photos. Thank goodness for props,
champagne, and cupcakes ๐
After our pics, we had our last dinner together at Central Kitchen.
If you see me scrounging through the wildness, Iโm just searching for a branch for our next tablescape ๐
(Love it so much!)
For the evening, they had created a unique menu. Central Kitchen sources its ingredients from local farmers and also process their meat on site. The menu varies according to the produce and meat they have fresh on hand, and they design their offerings around that. This is definitely a restaurant Iโll seek out next time Iโm in San Francisco.
Thank you again to the Stitch Fix and LUNA girls for a wonderful experience and vacay. I would have been happy to share some wine and hang out with blogging friends, but they went worked hard to create an amazing itinerary. Thank you again for having me! ๐
When was the last time you traveled? Any favorite San Francisco spots? Iโll definitely have to take the Pilot to the Buena Vista for Irish Coffee next time weโre there!
Have a great night ๐
xoxo

Random: Iโm posting these pics so I can pin them and request for a future fix ๐
My favorite spots in San Francisco was anywhere near the water and the parks. It’s such a beautiful city.
I grew up there, yet my heart is always about 20 minutes south of the city in the small coastal town of Half Moon Bay. It’s worth the visit next time you’re in SF.
It’s funny, I was going to comment that I’m just starting the SSU tomorrow because we went to Maui for my dad’s 60th bday. I searched out a place that had Acai bowls because they don’t seem to have made their way to Denver yet and I was dying to try one. I need to post a pic of the one I got – it’s about five times bigger than your version , but worth every bite ๐
My husband and I are obsessed with the Slanted Door in SF – the clay pot chicken and crab glass noodles are amazing…
I want to live in that warehouse.
I love Stitch Fix! Champagne and cupcakes– too cute!
Wow, that looks like the BEST time ever. I would love to see what they have in that warehouse!
What are you talking about? You always look at ease in pictures! I always feel akward especially in Mom pics!
Your skirt is gorg!
Looks like you girls had a blast! Too bad my next Fix doesn’t come until July, I would have been really excited if one of you packed up my goodies:-)
I have too many favorites here in San Francisco to even begin. You look lovely, and that sounds like a wonderful trip.
What a fun trip! Central Kitchen sounds delicious.
What a beautiful photo of you! Love this post, I still can’t get over that Stitch Fix is real and they have a whole warehouse and people who pack the boxes! They really know how to steal a girl’s heart, champagne and cupcakes, what what ๐
You are rockin’ those neutral wedges. May I ask which style of blowout you got at Dry Bar? I’m going Saturday!!
I really like the outfit you had on for your photo shoot! I hope you requested it for you next fix. ๐
That trip sounds like a blast – AND – you look beautiful!!!!
Gina (from Mass)
Love, love, love the pictures from the photo shoot! What a fun event. ๐ TGIF!
Sounds like a really fun time! I’ve only done one Stitch Fix box before, and only ended up keeping two of the items, but the bracelet I wear at least 2-3 times a week and the sweater is one of my winter favorites! I think I’d do more if the wait wasn’t so long (I know it’s good because it means they are busy and growing) but I lack patience ๐
Too weird, my sister is the private event coordinator at Central Kitchen – so glad you enjoyed it!!! ๐
no way! the food was AMAZING
Sounds like so much fun!
You have a really cool job, you know?? Such great opportunities.
Enjoy your cousin and baby ๐
thank you! i’m blessed to have a job that doesn’t feel like work ๐
hope you have a very happy weekend!
xoxo
I want those brown heeled sandals you are wearing so much! What kind are they?
