Dealership Dessert Bar

Morning friends! How are you?? Hope youโ€™re having a great morning <3 Thanks for the awesome comments to my ridiculously random post Winking smile Iโ€™ve had so much fun reading them.

Right now, Iโ€™m blogging at the car dealership:

car dealership

(Car Dealership dessert bar)

The original plan was to get the coolant topped off before yoga (it told me it was low, so I brought it in) and turns out I needed an oil change and something else (? haha) so Iโ€™m here chilling in my yoga clothes, enjoying the coffee and free WiFi. Looks like yoga wonโ€™t be happening, but Dance Trance later tonight will Smile

For dinner last night, I enjoyed the second half of the raw tacos meal.

saladchips

It was really delicious but ended up being a fail as far as raw tacos go- it was more like a raw Mexican chicken salad

#1: The tortilla ended up being chips because I left it in the dehydrator way too long

chip

#2: The taco meat ended up being like faux raw chicken, because I used almonds instead of walnuts and didnโ€™t have any sundried tomatoes on hand

salad

Oh well- you live and learn, eh? Iโ€™ll post the full recipe when I tweak it to perfection Smile

I also munched an organic kiwi:

kiwi

While my meal was less legendary than anticipated, work was so.much.fun last night. We were slow for a little while, so we had a yoga challenge in the store. One person started a yoga flow, then the next person repeated the flow and added something on. We ended up with a CRAZY long flow- it was kind of a blasty Smile

Breakfast this morning was on the lighter side and simple, because I thought Iโ€™d be sweating and downward dogging right about now:

tortilla

Brown rice tortilla + almond butter and jelly

The classic never dies Smile

Plan for the day:

-Book proposal

-Blog + Lunch + work stuff

-BLACK BOOTS! (still on the prowl)

-Dance Trance (I heard a rumor that this weekโ€™s new routine was G6? Stoked)

-Rainforest Cafรฉ (VOLCANOOOOOOOOOO!)

See ya later today!

xoxo,

Gina

Todayโ€™s tip: Fave lululemon pieces! Since Iโ€™ve divulged my place of employment, quite a few of you have asked what my favorite pieces are.

Here are some of the things I LOVE:

Cool Racerback

image

This is my all-time fave. I wear the Cool Racerback or the Power Y almost every day. Itโ€™s really light, stretchy and comfy.

Power Y Tank

image

The Power Y has a built-in bra with cups that you can take out if you want to. Itโ€™s great for power yoga because even when youโ€™re drenched in sweat, it dries really quickly

TaTa Tamer

image

This bra changed my life. I had a Victoriaโ€™s Secret bra that I LOVED (the shock absorber, which they discontinued) and since then havenโ€™t found anything thatโ€™s worked out well. When you wear the Ta Ta Tamer, NOTHING moves. I was sprinting on the treadmill and almost shed tears of joy, haha. Bonus: no uniboob. Baller.

Groove Crop

image

Another thing that I wear almost everyday. I love the length of these and like all Groove pants, theyโ€™re made of luon, which has a 4-way stretch. Thereโ€™s a little pocket in the waistband and theyโ€™re reversible, so if I donโ€™t want to match the waistband, I just wear them inside out Smile

Wunder Under crop

image

I donโ€™t have these yet, but hope to get some today or tomorrow. Some of the girls at work wear them everyday and they look SO comfy.

I have to go to the dealership today too. Snooooze. I wish mine had wifi! I have the shock absorber from VS too and I have worn that thing out. I really loved it. I’d love to get a tata tamer too!

    • Fitnessista on October 28, 2010 at 10:33 am

me too.. mine was so old and ratty! but it did an amazing job, haha

  2. Holly @ couchpotatoathlete on October 28, 2010 at 10:32 am

I would definitely wear Wunder Under crop every day if I could ๐Ÿ™‚

The tata tamer looks great — it doesn’t just smash your boobs to your chest!

  3. Bec on October 28, 2010 at 10:34 am

Love the wonder under crops and pants definitely get a pair (or two)

  4. allison @ thesundayflog on October 28, 2010 at 10:36 am

this was great!! im getting my runner sister lulu clothes for xmas and these are all on my list! let me know if you find anymore cool stuff!!

  5. Joslyn (missfitbliss) on October 28, 2010 at 10:43 am

Oh that’s so cool! I hope you keep posting your Lulu faves. It’ll be fun to get the inside scoop from you:)

  6. Emily N on October 28, 2010 at 10:44 am

I looove lululemon! I have yet to buy anything other than a hairband…but I just love the positive energy of the store and the overall concept. They just opened one literately forty feet from my apt. I can see the store when I look out my bedroom window = dangerous! I am budgeting so that I can buy the ta ta tamer (grad student:).

  7. Jill on October 28, 2010 at 10:47 am

The only thing I own from lululemon is a pair of shorts I got a couple years ago. I just can’t spend more than a hundred bucks on a pair of sweat pants! But I sure would like to… I know it’s the brand that people are buying but I want to be one of those people too! Whenever I’m at the gym all the girls are in their lululemon stuff and I’m slumming it in my sweats from Old Navy, lol. Sad little me.

    • Fitnessista on October 28, 2010 at 10:48 am

there’s nothing wrong with that- old navy has great athletic wear ๐Ÿ™‚
what city do you live in??? there are lululemon outlets in orlando, washington state and ny- it would be a great way to try out a pair for less. some stores have sales, too ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Jill on October 28, 2010 at 9:35 pm

I live in sad old Winnipeg, Manitoba… We DO have a lululemon but I’m guessing it’s even MORE expensive than any of the stores in the US. I would do terrible things to get at a lulu outlet!

        • Ryan on October 29, 2010 at 12:51 am

Lucky for you the Polo Park location in Winnipeg is considered an outlet location!!

  8. Lana Wilson on October 28, 2010 at 10:47 am

This is random, but what color/brand nail polish are you wearing in the third picture? I really like it!

  9. Sharelle @ essential-ingredient on October 28, 2010 at 10:53 am

haha, love that the bras name is tata tamer.
i hate being at the car dealership. im not sure why, but i always feel like im never going to get out of there even though they get things done in a decent time.

    • Fitnessista on October 28, 2010 at 10:57 am

that’s how i’m feeling about now… trying to be positive, but i’ve enjoyed my wifi and coffee- ready to go

  10. Tuesday on October 28, 2010 at 10:54 am

I work at a pilates studio that sells lululemon. It’s a lot of fun! Whenever we get a new order in, people go CRAZY…
So, my lulu wardrobe is expanding.
By the way, I’m new to your blog, and really enjoy it! I look forward to your posts in the morning, and in the evening when I’m home from work. You and I have a very similar style of eating, and I’m getting more good eating and fitness ideas from you. I’m a personal trainer and pilates instructor. Thanks much!!

    • Fitnessista on October 28, 2010 at 10:57 am

thank you so much for reading!!
      ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. Ilana on October 28, 2010 at 10:55 am

I just picked up another Power Y and my goodness I adore them. I bought myself a pair of the Power Pose leggings as a treat for completing mat-level Pilates certification and now I want a thousand pairs, they’re really fun. I love crops but I’ve never bought a Lulu pair. I actually have a jacket to return to Lulu (Tadasana jacket, it’s just notttt flattering on me), and I might exchange it for another pair of pants. Or a jacket. Still can’t decide.

  12. CathyK on October 28, 2010 at 10:59 am

too funny that you mention lulu goods today, gina! i was thinking of you last eve as i went shopping at lululemon in the eaton centre (toronto). was drooling over practically everything, but escaped with only the arm warmers (for running) and a 3pac of socks. did compose my xmas list of items i would love to get! the lulu pieces i alread own have never let me know.
    enjoy your dance trance tonight!

  13. Laury @ thefitnessdish on October 28, 2010 at 11:00 am

I just found out you can get a discount at Lululemon for being a fitness professional…I kinda think it’s pointless now that I am pregger, but def wanna take advantage post baby! I love their stuff, it’s just outrageously expensive ๐Ÿ™ I am used to Old Navy, Marshalls and Target prices…although, i live in workout clothes so it would be a good investment ๐Ÿ˜‰

  14. Mandy A on October 28, 2010 at 11:01 am

Gina, what is Dance Trance like? Anything like Zumba? Our Zumba class adds in some hip hop to the mix – they’re always intense! More so than Turbo Fire workouts if that gives you an idea! ๐Ÿ™‚ I love them! We did a new G6 routine the other night! SO fun!

    • Fitnessista on October 28, 2010 at 11:06 am

dance trance is choreograhped dances to songs that are on the radio- really new, awesome songs! they use a jazz style of dance with hip hop and booty shaking mixed in. it’s RIDICULOUS ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Mandy A on October 28, 2010 at 12:52 pm

Thank you! It sounds awesome! Hubby and I would LOVE that! Hoping someone starts up a Nashville studio SOON! ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. Stefanie @thenewhealthy on October 28, 2010 at 11:02 am

I’m really considering taking the plunge and getting the tata tamer! I’ve heard so many great things about it! ๐Ÿ™‚

  16. Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat on October 28, 2010 at 11:04 am

The cool racerback is my favourite!! I think I have 6 of them now, and I get a new colour every time I go to Lulu (because there isn’t one in my city). You have the best job ever my dear!! ๐Ÿ˜€

  17. McPinks on October 28, 2010 at 11:15 am

I have serious lurve for the Ta Ta Tamer! – It changed my running life! ๐Ÿ™‚

And I am addicted to the Scoop Neck Tanks. – I really need to add some more of thier pants into my life.

  18. LisaG on October 28, 2010 at 11:18 am

I think there would have to be icecream put in my coffee if I were sitting there waiting! Wish I had the bod for the lulu’s.

    • Fitnessista on October 28, 2010 at 12:02 pm

um, you have a HOT bod ๐Ÿ™‚ tom agrees- he said you were a cute little thing ๐Ÿ™‚

      • LisaG on October 28, 2010 at 12:07 pm

Thx but it’s a work in progress.

  19. Heather (Heather's Dish) on October 28, 2010 at 11:51 am

i really need to invest in a ta-ta tamer. like really bad. my old bras are getting too big but i need something supportive!

  20. Amanda (Eating Up) on October 28, 2010 at 11:51 am

I’m so jealous you get to wear comfy clothes all day! Jeans are not comfortable, I don’t care what people say. Even the stretch ones stretch out and fall down, etc.

  21. Shannon on October 28, 2010 at 12:12 pm

Love lulu – thanks for posting! Seems like a great company to work for. The one by me does free weekend classes. Thanks for the reminder – I miss them!

  22. monicanelsonfitness on October 28, 2010 at 12:14 pm

I think I might official sleep, workout in, and go to work in LULU forever after seeing some of this new stuff! It would work for me. ๐Ÿ™‚
Even for Halloween… “What are you?” “I am a LULU Employee”. See I would be covered in all aspects, hehe. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Glad I at least get the Trainer discount. ๐Ÿ™‚

  25. Krystina (Organically Me) on October 28, 2010 at 12:23 pm

I don’t know why but I find the fact that the dealership has an ice cream bar adorable.

  26. Lisa on October 28, 2010 at 12:39 pm

I dont own anything by that brand, but the clothes look great! I am such a sucker for workout clothes, and I am not ashamed that the majority of my clothes are workout.

  27. Tina @ Faith Fitness Fun on October 28, 2010 at 12:40 pm

I need some of those ta-ta tamers. Otherwise I’m a doubled up sportsbra gal.

  28. Whitney on October 28, 2010 at 12:40 pm

I just bought the Lululemon “Insight” Crop pant for a marathon I did last weekend and loooved them!! They are supposed to be for dancers but they were great for running too. I love the pockets ๐Ÿ™‚

  29. Sassy Molassy on October 28, 2010 at 12:42 pm

  31. Alison (Ali on the Run) on October 28, 2010 at 12:48 pm

So jealous that you get to live in Lulu clothes every day! I swear by the Cool Racerback. It’s the only top I’ll run in and I’m going crazy because I own almost every color. Must. Release. More. (Please!) I also love the Reverse Groove (I think?) shorts and the Groove pants. Aaaamazing. Lucky lady!

  32. Gabriela @ Une Vie Saine on October 28, 2010 at 12:52 pm

I want to work at Lululemon just to wear cute and comfy clothes all day!! This makes me want to sprit to the nearest Lululemon and buy stuff ๐Ÿ™‚ There’s definitely a lot on my Christmas list though!!

  33. Jaclyn on October 28, 2010 at 12:57 pm

Ha love the dealership “dessert bar” – so random!

That yoga flow things sounds like so much fun, I would love to do something totally spontaneous and random like that! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thanks also, for the lulu piece tips, I definitely need to invest in a few of those goods! ๐Ÿ˜€ Let me know how you like the new pants too!

You are so lucky to be working at Lulumon. I would love to work at a yoga shop one day…or Whole Foods! Haha

  35. Avery on October 28, 2010 at 1:02 pm

I’ve been eye-ing lululemon things for awhile! But I’m nervous about the price and if it’s really worth it! How long have you had your lululemon gear? Has it held up well without getting baggy or rough? And are they pretty true to size? I’m willing to spend the money if I can keep them for a long time! I would just be super bummed out if they started to get old in a few months.

  36. Allison @ Food for Healing on October 28, 2010 at 1:03 pm

quite the buffet at the dealership, never seen such a thing!

lulu clothes are awesome, i can’t wait for christmas haha then i get some, i have honestly never bought any of my own lulu yet, but i will probably give in sooner or later, they are so comfy

  37. Emily on October 28, 2010 at 1:23 pm

I also live in the wunder unders and power ys. Both are such great pieces! And for running nothing beats the speed short! I’m obsessed. I did your plie squats this morning at the gym and lovveddd them! I could definitely feel the burn when you have to hold the squat position and keep curling.

  42. Jessica@tastyandtrim on October 28, 2010 at 2:11 pm

LOVE all of those lululemon pieces! I forced myself to walk past the store last weekend because going inside would have put a serious dent in my college budget. Between lululemon and lucy I could go broke!

  43. Averie (LoveVeggiesAndYoga) on October 28, 2010 at 2:16 pm

Omg nothing quite sucks (for me) as much as cooling my heels in a car dealership…b/c it’s never on my terms. i.e. some random light goes on, you bring it in, and they tell you yes the light is on but you also have abc and xyz things to contend with (and pay for!) too! I feel your pain!

The tortillas into chips…looks good to me. The taco meat into chicken salad, also looks delish!

And all the pants and clothes and I know you’ve mentioned the ta-ta tamer before…I would love something like that! Something to immobilize yet not give the look of a smashed pancake LOL

Have a great day and good luck with your car !

Gina – what kind of tortillas do you eat, I’m looking for some new, good ones!

I am addicted to the Cool Racerbacks, everytime they come out with a new color, I have to have it, it’s a problem! I started with one tank, a pair of crops and a pair of grooves over 3 years ago and now my workout drawer is overflowing with LULU…I just get one piece at a time and work it into my budget. It also helps that I have a boyfriend who supports my habit because he loves how the clothes look on me too, heh! Anywho…my new favorite piece is the Run Inspire crops…they are fantastic for boot camp-type moves and running, and I love the feel of the luxtreme!
