Friday Faves (+ a giveaway)
Hi! TGIF. Hope youโve had a wonderful week and have some fun plans to look forward to this weekend! We have a couple of fun things in the works, and Iโm so excited to see Gone Girl this weekend. I know it probably wonโt live up to the book, butโฆ Ben Affleck.
Some faves from the week and around the web:
Fall centerpieces! Even though it was 90 degrees while I put this one together, it felt so right. I got everything at Home Goods; love the leaves, and love that it isnโt too Halloween-y and can stick around until Thanksgiving.
This sign at an Ocean Beach flower shop. Pretty clever marketing ๐
We have figs in the yard! I was a little apprehensive about eating them -it all comes back to childhood trauma from when I ate mushrooms growing outside. It was not a good experience for anyone- but they are delicious.
La Jolla adventures with my favorites.
Quotes from the wisdom wall:
How to determine blood test results. So helpful!!
What weightlifting for 20 minutes does for your brain.
An amazing feature from Cosmopolitan. Thank you so much for including me <3
All about that upright bass. SO GOOD.
Easy reminders to get in your workout.
Count me healthy bracelets. I was so excited when Chelsea Charles reached out to me about these awesome bracelets. I mean, my permanent marker on the water bottle trick worked to count my water intake, but this is a little more fun. ๐
These gorgeous bracelets can be used to count anything youโd like to track. Some ideas: water intake, weekly workouts, nursing or pumping sessions for mamas, words of kindness, or positive thoughts. They can also be a helpful technique for those who are looking to break habits, such as cigarette smoking (by counting how many days youโve gone without), or reducing artificial sweeteners. All you do is slide is the little beads from side to side.
Wearing it throughout the day is also a beautiful visual reminder of your goals. I love how well-constructed the bracelets are; while dainty, theyโre extremely durable.
Chelsea Charles kindly sent me two bracelets: one for me, and one for one of you. The rose gold Tri-color bracelet I have to give away is valued at $105, and since itโs in my possession, you never know what will make itโs way into the winnerโs goodie mail. (Iโve been known to put in fun beauty products, homemade cookies, snacks and treats.)
If youโd like to enter, just leave a comment with something youโre loving today, or something youโd count via your new bracelet ๐
Happy Friday!
xoxo

Gone Girl was good! Ben gets a little overshadowed by everyone else’s amazing performances but overall I really liked it. (And I was a HUGE fan of the book!)
Today I’m loving that a good friend is unexpectedly in town and I get to meet her for dinner tonight!

I’m in love with fall candles today! Do you think if I use a pumpkin spice latte scent I won’t need to drink sugary PSL from Starbucks? ๐
I’m loving that it’s Friday, a beautiful day to workout outside this morning and that I have a fun weekend planned with my hubby.
I’m loving my new son! One week old. And also loving my new little family. I’m not sure if there are enough circles, but I would count feedings! ๐
Love the bracelets! I would count water or workouts because I have not been getting enough of either lately. A pretty reminder might be the way to fix that.
The bracelet is beautiful I would count the days until my husband comes home. He is away for work and I won’t see him until the end of October haven’t seen him since mid-september!
Long (for me) run on the agenda for today!
Looking forward to a women’s conference at church tomorrow morning. I would use the bracelet to track the amount of times I stretch during the week. Realized that I need to make it a daily activity even if i’m not working out.
I can’t wait to see that movie also! I tried last weekend was was won out by others and saw Annabelle instead. So scary! I would track water intake I am already a lot better then I was but still have some work to do.

I am loving that bracelet! I am also loving all the fall coloured leaves I am getting to see lately! Love autum!!
This week, I’m loving the pop of warm weather we got in DC after a very chilly weekend. With a winter that’s supposed to be even worse than last year, I’m loving any additional warmth and sunshine I can soak up until the cold hits! Also loving Maroon 5’s new album, you should totally check it out ๐
Those bracelets are really cute. I love the rose gold look. I would definitely count my water intake. I’ve tried everything to get myself to drink enough water!
Those bracelets are gorgeous and I love the idea! I’d definitely use it to track water intake, since I’m often a slacker in that area.
Loving the start of Fall here in NC, and waiting for the leaves to full change color…. but not loving the transitional coughing/sneezing/cold that it gave me.
Nice bracelet. I would love to win it. Happy Friday!
I’m loving that I have one day of work left before I leave on my vacation to Chile and Argentina! I can’t wait to drink all the Malbec ๐ I would use the bracelet to help track my water intake. At work I get so busy and distracted that I don’t realize how dehydrated I am by the end of the day. A pretty reminder could be pretty useful!
What a great idea! I’m newly pregnant with my 3rd and cannot remember to get enough water in! I would definitely track my water intake!
I always want to do more planks, but forget. i’d put that on the bracelet!
I’m loving that it’s fall and it’s Friday! The bracelets are a sweet idea. I would give it to my mom hoping it would help her in her quest to quit smoking.
I am loving that it is finally getting cool out. I may be the only one but I love the fall. I also love anything rose gold and that bracelet is so pretty
I am loving that it is FRIDAY!! ๐ Awesome giveaway…thanks for the chance!
Fresh fig tree in your yard? Talk about fresh fruit! Did you plant it or is it from the previous owner? I am loving that today is Friday and we don’t have too much planned for the weekend. Hopefully we will be blessed with gorgeous weather so we can take so long walks around town. I would use the bracelet to track acts of kindness towards others. I want to pay it forward a little more and I think this would be a great tool to remind me of this daily. Thanks for hosting the giveaway. The bracelet is beautiful.
I’m loving the rain falling outside, my morning coffee, & blog reading. All while my baby girl is sleeping peacefully.
Love the bracelet! I’d use it to count workouts per week. It’s hard to stay motivated, and this would be an easy reminder!
Loving being able to watch the leaves change while visiting family!
Loving a few days off of work!
I would use the bracelet to count my weekly workouts. Work is so hectic this time of year, if I had a visual reminder all the time maybe I’d be better at sticking to my plan.
I’m loving this bracelet! I would use the little beads as positive reminders toward finally reaching our goal of getting pregnant:)
That bracelet is so pretty! I’m loving being at the beach on vacation this week!
I’m loving that today is the beginning of Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada!

Adorable bracelet. I’m loving that its the weekend and the weather here is perfect.

If I had that bracelet, I would use it to track water intake. I am a terrible water drinker…
Happy Friday! I’m loving (every time) when both of my boys nap in the afternoon! It gives me time to recharge my batteries and drink water, which slips my mind being so busy with a toddler and a baby! So, I would use the bracelet as a reminder to drink up!
I’d use it to count water. God knows I need some help there!
I’m loving that it is Friday, and we get our new couch tomorrow!
I’m loving that it’s Friday, and that the sun is supposed to come out this weekend here in Ohio!
I am loving this bracelet!! Gina, your blog and recipes have helped me achieve my health and fitness goals. I always use the mantra “one day at a time” to make sure I have a healthy day and stay on track. I would use the bracelet to count my healthy days and then reward myself (spa or mani) once all the beads are “healthy”!!
Hi Gina! Love that bracelet. I’d use it to keep track of nursing sessions. Have a great weekend!
Today I am thankful that it’s Friday, and that I am on a 2-day fall break. I work with 7th graders (special ed) so it is a very welcome break! I love your fall centerpiece-this is the best season! The bracelet is beautiful and such a great idea. Frankly, I do pretty well each day getting in enough water and getting in a workout, but I’m not as good at giving out words of kindness or praising good behaviors (something about working with kids makes it hard to do so sometimes!) so I’d probably use it for that purpose-to be sure I’m being kind to our kids who often need extra love and support.
