Friday Faves (+ a giveaway)

Hi! TGIF. Hope youโ€™ve had a wonderful week and have some fun plans to look forward to this weekend! We have a couple of fun things in the works, and Iโ€™m so excited to see Gone Girl this weekend. I know it probably wonโ€™t live up to the book, butโ€ฆ Ben Affleck.

Some faves from the week and around the web:

Fall centerpieces! Even though it was 90 degrees while I put this one together, it felt so right. I got everything at Home Goods; love the leaves, and love that it isnโ€™t too Halloween-y and can stick around until Thanksgiving.

We have figs in the yard! I was a little apprehensive about eating them -it all comes back to childhood trauma from when I ate mushrooms growing outside. It was not a good experience for anyone- but they are delicious.

How to determine blood test results. So helpful!!

What weightlifting for 20 minutes does for your brain.

An amazing feature from Cosmopolitan. Thank you so much for including me <3

All about that upright bass. SO GOOD.

Easy reminders to get in your workout.

Count me healthy bracelets. I was so excited when Chelsea Charles reached out to me about these awesome bracelets. I mean, my permanent marker on the water bottle trick worked to count my water intake, but this is a little more fun. ๐Ÿ˜‰

These gorgeous bracelets can be used to count anything youโ€™d like to track. Some ideas: water intake, weekly workouts, nursing or pumping sessions for mamas, words of kindness, or positive thoughts. They can also be a helpful technique for those who are looking to break habits, such as cigarette smoking (by counting how many days youโ€™ve gone without), or reducing artificial sweeteners. All you do is slide is the little beads from side to side.

Bracelet 1 of 1

Wearing it throughout the day is also a beautiful visual reminder of your goals. I love how well-constructed the bracelets are; while dainty, theyโ€™re extremely durable.

Chelsea Charles kindly sent me two bracelets: one for me, and one for one of you. The rose gold Tri-color bracelet I have to give away is valued at $105, and since itโ€™s in my possession, you never know what will make itโ€™s way into the winnerโ€™s goodie mail. (Iโ€™ve been known to put in fun beauty products, homemade cookies, snacks and treats.)

I’m loving the 7 mile run I completed this morning and the cute pictures that my sister sent me of my nephews at the pumpkin patch!

I am loving Tory Burch boots right now. Like I am dreaming about those things! Must, have. NOW.

  5. Karlee on October 11, 2014 at 8:33 am

I’d track my water intake. I’m 32 weeks pregnant and need to be healthy more than ever right now. Unfortunately my bp has been on the high range so I’m trying to increase water and decrease sodium.

  8. Laura Turner on October 11, 2014 at 8:48 am

I love this bracelet! I am the worst at drinking water and this would help me to see how much or how little I have actually had during a day. What a great idea and so elegant!

Today I’m loving being home! I just returned from an overnight field trip with my daughter’s middle school. It was lots of fun! (I’m also loving peace and quiet:) I would count water…I’ve been trying to drink more lately!

  10. shaina on October 11, 2014 at 9:00 am

those are gorgeous! I’d use it to track my water intake – I struggle so much with that because I’m too busy running around after 2 kids. I always take my water wherever we go, but I’ll forget for a stretch of a few hours and then when I remember have to down the entire nalgene bottle haha.

I’m also loving PiYo right now!! You should absolutely get it. I think you’d love it.

  11. Abby on October 11, 2014 at 9:16 am

I would count Water intake for sure! I’m currently on a weight loss journey and have lost 25 lbs but could use that extra push!

I am sitting by an open window with a warm mug of goodness listening to the rain and enjoying the moment….before I jet off to transport/watch the kids play soccer in the same rain. (It’s not as peaceful then!) ๐Ÿ™‚

    loving my wonderful hubby

  14. Sara Giboney @ Sweet Success on October 11, 2014 at 9:35 am

The bracelet is gorgeous! I would use it to track each time I said a positive thought/mantra to replace a negative thought. I’ve been trying to be better to myself – we are our own worst critics – and saying something like, “You are enough,” when I’m getting down on myself makes me feel so much better!

  15. Sarah O'Boyle on October 11, 2014 at 9:36 am

I’m currently sitting wIth a warm cup of Joe contemplating what soup to prep for this beautiful autumn day. I whole heartedly welcome the season of soups!!

    Loving the fall weather!

Miles! ๐Ÿ™‚ Training for a half marathon…but it may not be good to wear while running. I need daily reminders to get up from my desk at work and move. This would certainly motivate me to get up from my desk more.

  24. barbara on October 11, 2014 at 10:29 am

I am loving that I am motivated to start running and working out again !

  25. Amee on October 11, 2014 at 10:30 am

I would use the bracelet to track getting up from my desk during my work day and adding some extra movement in. Even with all the water I drink, I’m amazed at how long I can sit still.

  26. Kiki on October 11, 2014 at 10:33 am

I love taking walks outside every Sunday, especially since the leaves have begun to show their beautiful colors. I do that in order to calm down a bit after some stressful couple of days, to recall the past week and to plan the upcoming one. The piece of cake afterwards is always taken for granted ๐Ÿ˜‰

  36. Michaela on October 11, 2014 at 11:17 am

Love these posts – even if that means I spent too much time online browsing random products ๐Ÿ˜‰
The bracelet is gorgeous and I would really love it to help me with intuitive eating. I struggle quite a bit with that one and often don’t eat for 5 hours despite being hungry, so I would imagine this will help remind me that I should eat whenever I actually am hungry and not when it fits into my schedule best.

  37. Jessica on October 11, 2014 at 11:43 am

I would use it to count my water intake!!
