Friday Faves (+ a giveaway)
Hi! TGIF. Hope youโve had a wonderful week and have some fun plans to look forward to this weekend! We have a couple of fun things in the works, and Iโm so excited to see Gone Girl this weekend. I know it probably wonโt live up to the book, butโฆ Ben Affleck.
Some faves from the week and around the web:
Fall centerpieces! Even though it was 90 degrees while I put this one together, it felt so right. I got everything at Home Goods; love the leaves, and love that it isnโt too Halloween-y and can stick around until Thanksgiving.
This sign at an Ocean Beach flower shop. Pretty clever marketing ๐
We have figs in the yard! I was a little apprehensive about eating them -it all comes back to childhood trauma from when I ate mushrooms growing outside. It was not a good experience for anyone- but they are delicious.
La Jolla adventures with my favorites.
Quotes from the wisdom wall:
How to determine blood test results. So helpful!!
What weightlifting for 20 minutes does for your brain.
An amazing feature from Cosmopolitan. Thank you so much for including me <3
All about that upright bass. SO GOOD.
Easy reminders to get in your workout.
Count me healthy bracelets. I was so excited when Chelsea Charles reached out to me about these awesome bracelets. I mean, my permanent marker on the water bottle trick worked to count my water intake, but this is a little more fun. ๐
These gorgeous bracelets can be used to count anything youโd like to track. Some ideas: water intake, weekly workouts, nursing or pumping sessions for mamas, words of kindness, or positive thoughts. They can also be a helpful technique for those who are looking to break habits, such as cigarette smoking (by counting how many days youโve gone without), or reducing artificial sweeteners. All you do is slide is the little beads from side to side.
Wearing it throughout the day is also a beautiful visual reminder of your goals. I love how well-constructed the bracelets are; while dainty, theyโre extremely durable.
Chelsea Charles kindly sent me two bracelets: one for me, and one for one of you. The rose gold Tri-color bracelet I have to give away is valued at $105, and since itโs in my possession, you never know what will make itโs way into the winnerโs goodie mail. (Iโve been known to put in fun beauty products, homemade cookies, snacks and treats.)
If youโd like to enter, just leave a comment with something youโre loving today, or something youโd count via your new bracelet ๐
Happy Friday!
xoxo
Gina
Aww what a cool idea for a bracelet, love it!
I’d love to count glasses of water during the day. I always have my water bottle with me, but am sometimes so busy that I just forget about it!
Those bracelets are gorgeous! I have so many things I could count: finished water bottles, workouts, and in about 6 months…nursing. I’ve been really sick this first tri and out of my workout groove so I’d surely use it to help me get out of my slump!
I’m loving this beautiful fall weather here in Michigan. 60 degrees, no humidity, and lots of sunshine!
I would count the amount of times I have something to say, but don’t. Wisdom has two parts: having something to say and knowing when to let it go. If it doesn’t serve anyone for the better….just swallow it
This is awesome, Sarah! I am stealing it! ๐
Love the idea of using the bracelet to track water intake!
I’m loving marathon recovery today! I’m still on a runner’s high from my first marathon yesterday ๐

I would use that bracelet to count how many bottles of water I drink in a day in an effort to drink more.
Beautiful bracelet!! I would love to use it to count pumping sessions.
I love that it is beautiful and practical. I am loving the memories of my local zoo’s tiger cubs that I saw yesrerday. They were playing with other and having a ball.
What a lovely bracelet idea! If I were to win it, I would count how many times I made someone smile that day. (This is a new focus of mine. When I make others happy, I feel happier).
This is amazingly genius. I’m gonna consider getting one of those– that would be perfect for workdays– I have the hardest time remembering to drink water!
I would count how many times my hand went in the candy dish each day. Hopefully I wouldn’t be moving them too often. ๐
What a gorgeous bracele! I rremember back in the day I created a bracelet to count my Weight Watchers points. Nowadays I’m all about just being healthy and I would definitely use the bracelet to keep count of my water . I’m a first grade teacher, and I find it so hard to make time to get my water in!
I would count good deeds! Whether that’s paying for someone’s coffee, reaching out to a friend or volunteering up time…I think it would remind me to be grateful and help others. Cheesy but true! Life is all about connecting and helping others. Thank you for doing so on your site ๐ xx
I think I would count how many vegetables I get in a day! Trying to get more of a variety of veggies…some are really delicious, I just forget about them and get in a rut!
As far as things I’m loving today… it’s Canadian Thanksgiving and I am so thankful for the turkey, mash, and pie that I’m about to go enjoy. And of course the family and friends I’ll be surrounded with when I do it!
today I’m loving a healthy mix of lazy and productive on this beautiful Sunday..and for being over halfway thru my Whole Life Challenge!
What a great (and gorgeous!) product – I would use the bracelet to count glasses of water. I definitely need to drink more, especially with cold/dry weather coming.
I love this idea! Those bracelets are super cute, too!
Wow, what a great idea! I would use this with my sugar addiction! Something I’m loving is everything pumpkin, its pumpkin season after all!!!!
I’d count positive body image thoughts/affirmations. I could use more of them ๐
Tomorrow is Canadian Thanksgiving and I’m loving spending time with family this weekend!
Running!!! I have such a love hate relationship with it but right now it amazing esp with all the fall colors coming out!! Love that bracelet soooo cute!!
I’d use it to count walk breaks during my computer heavy work day
Hmmmโฆ. I would count down the days until the weekend! Just kidding! Since I only run around 2 days a week, I would probably count the miles I run each week! A fun (and super pretty) way to do so, if you ask me!
I am loving that I got to spend a GORGEOUS fall weekend with my best friend! (Those bracelets are so cute!)
I’m loving the smell of the banana bread I have cooking in the oven and this lazy Sunday night we’re enjoying here at our house!
I’m loving that I got to spend a gorgeous fall weekend with my best friend (who lives 200 miles away). Those bracelets are awesome!
Bracelet look really cute and that sign is pretty clever! I’m loving finally being able to taste food after being sick with a nasty cold for the last week.
It is so beautiful!
If you include any treats gfdf please! You are the best!
They are so pretty! I would use it to track water intake. I’m terrible are remembering to drink water!
Gorgeous bracelet ……I would use to track water for sure …..
I’d count blessings. It helps me every day to just be grateful. ๐
I love the idea around the counting bracelet! I have been working to lose around 30lbs and am down 11 so far. I would love to get a bracelet like this to track my water intake to help me continue my weight loss.
I would love this to count my water intake or weekly workouts. Starting a healthy lifestyle is so hard! I have been starting and stopping for months now and every little bit would help for motivation.
These bracelets are so pretty, such a neat idea. So would use the idea of tracking my water intake. I have to drink so much water, to keep myself from getting to dyhaderated, and some days I lose track. ๐ Such a great giveaway.
I am loving my coffee this morning and supportive co workers after a difficult week. I would use it as a reminder to live each day to the fullest :).
I’d count my water

i am loving that my 8 month old slept through the night! Have a great day.
I think I’d count water intake!
Lately I am loving the Fall! We drove up to VT this weekend and went leaf peeping! I think I would count my water intake – It would be so helpful to keep me on track!
Lately, I’ve been trying to take more time for myself. One of my goals is a daily yoga practice.
I’d love to count a successful week (seven practices!) of yoga with the bracelet. ๐
I am loving the long summer we are having here in Seattle, WA. The sun has been making an appearance late into the season this year and I just LOVE it!
I like the idea of using the bracelet to count my water intake. I keep a bottle on my desk, but I am still not a consistent about my intake as I’d like to be.
What a great bracelet! Really clever! I love the mixed metals in it! Lately I’m loving that at night the air is getting crisp enough for fires in the fireplace!!
I’m loving the fact that my workout is done and I had a healthy lunch! (I just visited San Diego last weekend and stayed right by that flower shop-funny coincidence!)
What a beautiful bracelet–I love the mixed metal. I would want to count my weekly workouts for positive reinforcement. I would also maybe use it to track when I get frustrated or annoyed at work and use it as a reminder to stop and take a more positive outlook and change my behavior.
I’d use it to count how many stretch breaks I remember to take each work day! its so easy to get wrapped up in work and not realize how long you’ve been sitting.
I am loving this relief from extreme heat here in LA. I finally took a 45 minute walk on my lunch break and didn’t sweat through my work clothes! ha!
