Friday Faves (+ a giveaway)
Hi! TGIF. Hope youโve had a wonderful week and have some fun plans to look forward to this weekend! We have a couple of fun things in the works, and Iโm so excited to see Gone Girl this weekend. I know it probably wonโt live up to the book, butโฆ Ben Affleck.
Some faves from the week and around the web:
Fall centerpieces! Even though it was 90 degrees while I put this one together, it felt so right. I got everything at Home Goods; love the leaves, and love that it isnโt too Halloween-y and can stick around until Thanksgiving.
This sign at an Ocean Beach flower shop. Pretty clever marketing ๐
We have figs in the yard! I was a little apprehensive about eating them -it all comes back to childhood trauma from when I ate mushrooms growing outside. It was not a good experience for anyone- but they are delicious.
La Jolla adventures with my favorites.
Quotes from the wisdom wall:
How to determine blood test results. So helpful!!
What weightlifting for 20 minutes does for your brain.
An amazing feature from Cosmopolitan. Thank you so much for including me <3
All about that upright bass. SO GOOD.
Easy reminders to get in your workout.
Count me healthy bracelets. I was so excited when Chelsea Charles reached out to me about these awesome bracelets. I mean, my permanent marker on the water bottle trick worked to count my water intake, but this is a little more fun. ๐
These gorgeous bracelets can be used to count anything youโd like to track. Some ideas: water intake, weekly workouts, nursing or pumping sessions for mamas, words of kindness, or positive thoughts. They can also be a helpful technique for those who are looking to break habits, such as cigarette smoking (by counting how many days youโve gone without), or reducing artificial sweeteners. All you do is slide is the little beads from side to side.
Wearing it throughout the day is also a beautiful visual reminder of your goals. I love how well-constructed the bracelets are; while dainty, theyโre extremely durable.
Chelsea Charles kindly sent me two bracelets: one for me, and one for one of you. The rose gold Tri-color bracelet I have to give away is valued at $105, and since itโs in my possession, you never know what will make itโs way into the winnerโs goodie mail. (Iโve been known to put in fun beauty products, homemade cookies, snacks and treats.)
If youโd like to enter, just leave a comment with something youโre loving today, or something youโd count via your new bracelet ๐
Happy Friday!
xoxo
Gina
What a beauty!! I am loving a giant plate of post workout eggs, veggies, and avocado…and that it is FRIDAY! Bring on the weekend. ๐
I am loving the perfect fall weather we have been enjoying and the leaves slowly changing.
I’m about to have my second baby so I can see myself using this for nursing.
I am loving cool fall mornings with hot coffee with caramel coffee creamer ๐ I would use the bracelet to track my water intake. Even thought I am an RD and tell my patients to drink water everyday, drinking enough water is a constant struggle for me.
I love that you somehow I knew that I needed an explanation of my recent blood test results — perfect! Thank you.
I’m loving that it’s Friday and FALL! I’m excited about the weather, all things pumpkin and fall decorating this weekend.
The centerpiece you made is so cute! I just returned from a conference where we learned about mindfulness, something I am really trying to incorporate in my life. I would use the bracelet to help me remember to be present and to re-focus on my daily intentions.
Today I am loving that I have already cleaned my kitchen from top to bottom
Today I’m loving drinking coffee and eating some chocolate chip pumpkin bread! ๐ Those bracelets are so pretty! I love that they are fashionable and functional. I’d love to use it to count my workouts and water intake.

I’m loving everything pumpkin ๐ What a gorgeous bracelet!
Something I’m loving today are the Autumn Overnight Oats! Next time I make them I’ll remember to plug in the crockpot before I go to bed. Epic fail.
Awesome bracelet! I’d use it for counting water intake. I’ve had a not-enough-water headache for the past 2 days now! But i am loving that it’s Friday! And seasonal Jamberry Nails!
The breakfast sandwich I just made/devoured! TJ’s pumpkin bagel (impulse purchase in a post-workout hanger trip to TJ’s) toasted – one side lightly buttered, the other spread with goat cheese almond spread (equal parts goat cheese & almond butter, vanilla, honey, s&p, pie spice, orange flavored craisins), then topped with a runny egg and arugula dressed in fig balsamic. Foodgasm central.
I love that it’s Friday and someone just brought in bagels to work!!
I love that wisdom wall! I have epilepsy so I would use that bracelet to keep track of taking my medication daily. That bracelet is a wonderful idea. Not to mention the gorgeous rose gold color.
I’m loving the fact that today is FRIDAY!
I’m loving visiting my best friend and helping taking care of her newborn baby! Lots of snuggles (and crying) today!
That bracelet is beautiful! I’d use it to help me track the number of days I make healthy eating choices.
Fall is my favorite season. The best Maine season of all. I would use the bracelet to keep track of how many kind things I say to my kids. With a toddler I say a lot of “no” and I have been working on saying more positive things to balance out!
I’d count water or diet drinks!
I’m loving that it is Friday and that my husband will be home in two days!!! It’s been a challenging week with two little guys and two dogs by myself. Sunday I will be loving that my family is back together ๐
I would definitely count water. I to have a piece of paper with me at all times so I know I’m getting enough! ๐
That bracelet is gorgeous!! I would count water intake or servings of veggies. I can always use help with either ๐
The bracelet is beautiful! I would use it to count my water intake.
I’m really bad about drinking enough water and haven’t found a way to remind myself to drink more yet, so I would use it for this too.
Loving that it’s Friday!! And just picked up a new tin if rosebud salve at sephora, love the stuff!
I’m loving that cooler temps are finally on the way to central Florida!
I’m loving fall weather so I can take my girls to the pumpkin patch and eat kettle corn!!!
Loving that it’s Friday today and I am going to see Gone Girl tomorrow! Yay for Ben Affleck. ๐ Congrats on the Cosmo feature!
I’m loving the simple things today, including the latte I treated myself to!
I would definitely use it for my water intake..great concept!
I love the idea of the count me healthy bracelets! I would use it to count how many times I meditated/practiced yoga throughout the week since that’s an October goal of mine!
I’ll do both ๐ Today I’m loving that it’s FRIDAY and the kids are out of school all next week! 9 days without packing lunches. Woo!
Also, I’d track my water because I seriously suck at that big time.
I am loving all the city pride coming out in Baltimore today for the Orioles! ๐
Today I’m loving finally feeling better – I’ve been sick with strep all week! As for the bracelet, I think I’d use it count positive thoughts towards myself because I’ve been really working on having more compassion towards me lately, knowing that that will ultimately help me immensely in my health and fitness goals. That bracelet is gorgeous!
The bracelets are beautiful! I would count my water intake.
Iโm loving the fact that I am meeting up with my towns โrunning clubโ after work today (I just discovered them!). Excited to get a workout in and meet some new running buddies!
I would definitely use the bracelet to count my water intake – for some reason it’s a bigger challenge on the weekend!
I’d either use the bracelet for tracking water intake daily – or weekly workouts. So pretty!
I’d count my daily vegetable intake! Something I definitely need to work on.
I would count nursing sessions once our little girl is born in December. Until then I would count my water intake.
Beautiful bracelet. I will count my water intake.
Hi Gina. What a neat bracelet! Thank you for sponsoring such a beautiful product. It was honestly difficult on what to choose to count! LOL
Hmm, I would say to count the days of avoiding artificial sweeteners. Eliminating diet sodas and sugar free gum are my specific focus and this would be a neat way to push towards that goal.
Have a great weekend. Always enjoy reading about your weekend adventures.
What a great idea! I would count nursing sessions right now.
I’m loving that today is my birthday (quarter of a century year old!) and I get to spend it with all of my best friends at our friend’s rehearsal dinner. And with even more celebrations the next day for the wedding day!
