Friday Faves (+ a giveaway)
Hi! TGIF. Hope youโve had a wonderful week and have some fun plans to look forward to this weekend! We have a couple of fun things in the works, and Iโm so excited to see Gone Girl this weekend. I know it probably wonโt live up to the book, butโฆ Ben Affleck.
Some faves from the week and around the web:
Fall centerpieces! Even though it was 90 degrees while I put this one together, it felt so right. I got everything at Home Goods; love the leaves, and love that it isnโt too Halloween-y and can stick around until Thanksgiving.
This sign at an Ocean Beach flower shop. Pretty clever marketing ๐
We have figs in the yard! I was a little apprehensive about eating them -it all comes back to childhood trauma from when I ate mushrooms growing outside. It was not a good experience for anyone- but they are delicious.
La Jolla adventures with my favorites.
Quotes from the wisdom wall:
How to determine blood test results. So helpful!!
What weightlifting for 20 minutes does for your brain.
An amazing feature from Cosmopolitan. Thank you so much for including me <3
All about that upright bass. SO GOOD.
Easy reminders to get in your workout.
Count me healthy bracelets. I was so excited when Chelsea Charles reached out to me about these awesome bracelets. I mean, my permanent marker on the water bottle trick worked to count my water intake, but this is a little more fun. ๐
These gorgeous bracelets can be used to count anything youโd like to track. Some ideas: water intake, weekly workouts, nursing or pumping sessions for mamas, words of kindness, or positive thoughts. They can also be a helpful technique for those who are looking to break habits, such as cigarette smoking (by counting how many days youโve gone without), or reducing artificial sweeteners. All you do is slide is the little beads from side to side.
Wearing it throughout the day is also a beautiful visual reminder of your goals. I love how well-constructed the bracelets are; while dainty, theyโre extremely durable.
Chelsea Charles kindly sent me two bracelets: one for me, and one for one of you. The rose gold Tri-color bracelet I have to give away is valued at $105, and since itโs in my possession, you never know what will make itโs way into the winnerโs goodie mail. (Iโve been known to put in fun beauty products, homemade cookies, snacks and treats.)
If youโd like to enter, just leave a comment with something youโre loving today, or something youโd count via your new bracelet ๐
Happy Friday!
xoxo
Gina
Gorgeous bracelet! I would probably use it to track my water intake or health eating choices!
What a beautiful bracelet! I would use it to count how many times I get up from my desk during the day to take a walk. I really need that reminder!
Today I’m Loving:
-Working from home on Fridays
-Girls dinner last night — so needed!!
-Sam Hunt’s Acoustic mixtape — can’t stop listening!
-the Royals in the ALCS!
I would LOVE this gorgeous rose gold bracelet. I’m trying to drink more water during the day and this would totally help me keep up with my goal!
Hope you had a great week ๐
Today I’m loving that I get to travel and see my Mom tonight!
Let me count the ways I could use this counting bracelet!
1. How many bottles of water I drink! 2. How many times I have taken the dog out during the day! 3. How many laps around the neighborhood I have done! 4. Have I called everyone I need to on the weekends?!
This bracelet is very clever!
That is such a neat idea! Currently, I am loving the fall weather! And I would totally use that bracelet to count how many times a day I took a short walk break instead of just sitting around.
I’m loving teaching at 5:30 AM every Friday! Everyone in my class are such ROCKSTARS and their positive energy and good vibes help me have the best Friday ever! The bracelet is fab! I love that it’s cute and dressy enough for officewear. I’d use it for water intake. Ha- I’d probably also use it in the opposite direction, maybe “marking” when I would have a negative thought or comment. Just to remind myself to be and think positive!
I’m torn between counting nursing sessions and vegetable intake!
I”m loving that I cooked last night for tonight’s dinner party and just have to reheat and actually enjoy my guests tonight!
Pretty bracelet :-)… I would count water!
I’m loving that it’s Friday and that I have a hot lunch date with my bf!
I am loving my new Fall booties and FSU football.
That bracelet is such a good idea!!! I would love to count water intake
I’m loving the beautiful sun shining on my face today! I would count the number of days I am binge-free ๐
what a neat idea, I would use this for counting water intake.
Totally cute! I am loving that today is a dress down day!
I’m loving that we have family visiting us today!
I love this! Your Friday Faves are some of my favorite posts…I always pick up something new (hello Geronimo which is STILL on repeat). I would love to count my meals with veggies. I’m aiming for all of them, buuuut…… Thank you Gina!
Today I’m loving the beautiful New England perfect Fall day we are having here in Connecticut! That bracelet is soooo pretty.
I’d definitely count water…what a motivator! ๐
I’m loving our annual adventure to the pumpkin patch today! Can’t wait!
I’m happy that it’s FRIDAY!! And my husband has no rotations at the hospital this weekend. And I love the idea of counting nursing/pumping sessions. I am a breastfeeding mama and I always lose track!
I would definetely use this to help witht my water intake. I need all the help I can get ๐ Such a cute idea.
So beautiful!
I’m loving my new grey skinny jeans. I don’t buy myself new clothing very often so buying jeans in a color was so much fun!
I love that bracelet! I would use it to count my days of clean eating. I can’t wait to hear what you thought of Gone Girl! Saw it last weekend
I’m loving this beautiful fall weather!! And I’d love the bracelet as a birthday gift for my sister, who I know would use it to remind herself to get up from her desk and move around the office ๐
I’m loving that Halloween is only a few weeks away and cooler temps are coming!
I’d use the beautiful bracelet to keep track of my water intake. I don’t nearly drink enough water so I think this would be a great way to help!
I am loving that I got that darn skin cancer cut out yesterday! Feeling blessed for early detection! I’d use the bracelet for counting days without sweet tea (aiming for water or unsweetened tea).
I am loving scarf weather!
I am loving your fall centerpiece – must get myself to HomeGoods ASAP! Also loving that it is a three-day weekend… always a welcome treat ๐
I am (extra) loving my husband for running out and getting coffee for me this morning when he realized we were all out!
I would count workouts for the week!
I’m loving having my hubby back in town from a business trip this week ๐ Can’t wait to spend some QT with him this weekend!
I took an awesome barre class this morning that was themed around Second Chances (every set we did twice and tried to work even harder the second time) – it was an amazing and inspiring way to kick off a beautiful Friday!
I’m loving that I have girl’s night planned tonight! Can’t wait to see Gone Girl and grub on some Indian food ๐
What a beautiful bracelet. I would count water intake or workouts for the week.
I am loving going out for walks with my kids this time of year. The leaves falling and the brisk temps are so beautiful and refreshing.
I’m loving that today is my birthday, the Baltimore Orioles are in the AL Championship series and play their first game tonight, and this weekend is filled with plenty of friend and family time. As for the bracelet, I would count how many servings of veggies I eat per day since I know I do not eat enough!
I would definitely use it to count water intake. I used to be so much better at paying attention to how much water I’m drinking (I taught PE outside in Tucson. HOT!), but ever since I’ve left that job it’s been something I haven’t really thought about too much.
I am loving all things pumpkin right now. Just finished a bowl of pumpkin pie oatmeal:)
my baby might be coming home from the hospital!!!!!
I had a free drink on my Starbucks card this morning! Perfect Friday morning celebration!
I am loving everything about my 7 month old niece right now! Every day she discovers something new! So exciting and adorable
Gone Girl is super good! I have recently made a concerted effort to be better about my overall fitness. I am using a food diary to track what I eat and hitting the gym 3 times a week. But where I am struggling is drinking enough water. I would use this bracelet to keep track of my water intake throughout the day!
Loving Friday, my end of the week soy latte, and listening to some awesome tunes!
I’ll do both! The thing I’m loving today is Flywheel… just did my first class this morning and oh. my. gosh. So sweaty. And the thing I’d count is glasses of water… I’m always trying to get that hydration in!
I would count how many times I do my pushups/squats during the day
Gone Girl is definitely on the agenda soon too haha!! Love your fall centerpiece!! And the bracelet looks SO pretty!
I would count my beautiful children- one here and one on the way. After suffering an ectopic pregnancy, it was a total blessing to discover I was pregnant in July.
Oh, I have some pretty bad habits I need to break, I’d use the beads to count (days at first) and then months free !
Today I’m loving double dates, cuddles with my dog, and scrambled eggs. Why are they so delicious?
I would probably track water intake with the bracelet. It’s so beautiful!
I am LOVING the fact that even though my surgeon told me I had to wait 2-3 weeks after my sinus surgery to return to exercise, today she gave me the go-ahead after just 10 days. Woo! ๐
