The Healthy in Real Life podcast is HERE!

Hi friends! Iโ€™m writing with some exciting news today because the Healthy In Real Life podcast is up and rolling. You can listen on iTunes, Stitcher, and Google Play.

Fitnessista Podcast Cover

Iโ€™ve considered doing a podcast for a couple of years now. The only thing really holding me back was the tech aspect, but once I decided I was going for it, a few online tutorials later and it wasnโ€™t that bad. (If youโ€™re considering getting into the podcasting world, I highly recommend Pat Flynnโ€™s videos!)

Voice has such an incredible power. You can get so much from text on a screen and from video, but I feel like, with podcasts and audio content, it feels like youโ€™re having coffee with a friend. Thatโ€™s exactly what I wanted with all of you! Itโ€™s another way for us to connect and another way for me to share content with you, especially through expert interviews.

The first two episodes are now live and you can subscribe through iTunes,ย Stitcher, andย Google Play.ย You can also check out all of the episodes under the โ€œpodcastโ€ menu option on the blog (top right of the menu bar). The first one is a short intro episode about my history with health and fitness, in addition to some plans for the podcast. The second episode is an interview with my good friend Jess. She has SO MUCH health and fitness knowledge to share, so I was excited to record some thoughts on postpartum fitness, diastasis recti, and her upcoming movement and Pilates festival, Momentum Fest. (If youโ€™re in Denver this weekend, be sure to check it out!)

I have SO MANY IDEAS for the podcast and canโ€™t wait to continue to share them with you! If you have any feedback or requests for upcoming episodes, please let me know!

If you would subscribe and rate the podcast so more people can see it, Iโ€™d appreciate your help so much.

To celebrate, how about a little Blogiversary giveaway from me to you?

I would love to hear about different ways of eating…I know you used to be vegan and also completely gluten free and I am currently mostly plant based but have been eating eggs every once in a while and I feel guilty. How did you find a way to eat what makes you feel good on the inside while not having guilt creep in if it doesnโ€™t fit what you โ€œthinkโ€ you should be eating?

Iโ€™d love to hear ideas on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle with kids – I have a toddler and another one on the way, plus I work full time -suggestions would be appreciated!

Iโ€™d love to hear about ways your guests care for themselves. Little things – products they love, skincare, great classes they take, funny shows on Netflix I donโ€™t know about. Iโ€™d also love to hear about career paths and how they got where they are.

Also, so glad youโ€™re doing this! Iโ€™ve been reading so long I canโ€™t remember when I started, and the number of blogs I read continues to dwindle as I get older and busier. Yours continues to be a must for me because you just seem so genuine. Iโ€™m excited to add your podcast into the rotation, and I hope we get a chance to meet IRL someday.

Iโ€™d love to hear your thoughts on the โ€œnecessityโ€ for a gym membership. I feel like I canโ€™t get as good of a workout at home, but the cost can be frustrating.

  27. Sarah on June 20, 2018 at 9:29 am

You seem so motivated in all areas of life, even when your life circumstances change frequently. I’d love to hear more about how you have developed your positive outlook and how you set goals, even when your life circumstances change (sometimes without your consent, I’m sure). I am personally working on trying to accept life’s changes with more grace and flexibility instead of needing a Type A plan for everything…you seem so adaptable and resilient while still achieving a lot, and I think it would be fascinating to hear more about your internal thought process around goal setting.
