The Healthy in Real Life podcast is HERE!

Hi friends! Iโ€™m writing with some exciting news today because the Healthy In Real Life podcast is up and rolling. You can listen on iTunes, Stitcher, and Google Play.

Fitnessista Podcast Cover

Iโ€™ve considered doing a podcast for a couple of years now. The only thing really holding me back was the tech aspect, but once I decided I was going for it, a few online tutorials later and it wasnโ€™t that bad. (If youโ€™re considering getting into the podcasting world, I highly recommend Pat Flynnโ€™s videos!)

Voice has such an incredible power. You can get so much from text on a screen and from video, but I feel like, with podcasts and audio content, it feels like youโ€™re having coffee with a friend. Thatโ€™s exactly what I wanted with all of you! Itโ€™s another way for us to connect and another way for me to share content with you, especially through expert interviews.

The first two episodes are now live and you can subscribe through iTunes,ย Stitcher, andย Google Play.ย You can also check out all of the episodes under the โ€œpodcastโ€ menu option on the blog (top right of the menu bar). The first one is a short intro episode about my history with health and fitness, in addition to some plans for the podcast. The second episode is an interview with my good friend Jess. She has SO MUCH health and fitness knowledge to share, so I was excited to record some thoughts on postpartum fitness, diastasis recti, and her upcoming movement and Pilates festival, Momentum Fest. (If youโ€™re in Denver this weekend, be sure to check it out!)

I have SO MANY IDEAS for the podcast and canโ€™t wait to continue to share them with you! If you have any feedback or requests for upcoming episodes, please let me know!

If you would subscribe and rate the podcast so more people can see it, Iโ€™d appreciate your help so much.

To celebrate, how about a little Blogiversary giveaway from me to you?

Listened to the first episode, and rated the podcast!! Gotta say, I loved hearing your voice and how you pronounce certain words (like Nana. My kids call my mom Nana, but it sounds more like banana–they even used to call her Nana Banana, haha). I found your talking pace to be nice to listen to, as well. ๐Ÿ™‚

YAY! I listened to both episodes.
I would love to listen to an R.D. and about Intermittent Fasting/Macros/Keto. Since that is all the craze lately.

Also, just listened to the podcast with Jessica Valant Pilates. What would you recommend to those who have not have had children but pee when they sneeze.

I would ask your doc for a referral to pelvic floor physical therapy. Your PF muscles can be too tight/strong which can also cause this. They can help find the muscle imbalance and give you personalized exercises to help!

        Thank you!

Quick healthy meals on the go! I have 3 kids and work full time, during any sports season we’re going from practice to practice, game to game without much downtime to actually cook. I rely on my instant pot heavily and love it, but am always on the search for how other people fit in healthy dinners during all the crazy!

  27. Emily on June 20, 2018 at 11:05 am

Awesome! Congrats Gina! I can’t wait to check it out.

  42. Mary on June 20, 2018 at 11:25 am

Subscribing. One thing I’m interested in is when do you drop a ‘healthy habit’ vs. keep going when you’re not seeing benefits. I rarely notice benefits from all the various trends– collagen, lemon water, herbal remedies, most skin products, etc., etc., so I stop them. Then wonder if I just quit too soon. LOL I’m a skeptic by nature. I do keep up on the ones with significant science behind them like fish oil pills, sunscreen, regular exercise and healthy eating– but the rest, not so much.
