The Healthy in Real Life podcast is HERE!
Hi friends! Iโm writing with some exciting news today because the Healthy In Real Life podcast is up and rolling. You can listen on iTunes, Stitcher, and Google Play.
Iโve considered doing a podcast for a couple of years now. The only thing really holding me back was the tech aspect, but once I decided I was going for it, a few online tutorials later and it wasnโt that bad. (If youโre considering getting into the podcasting world, I highly recommend Pat Flynnโs videos!)
Voice has such an incredible power. You can get so much from text on a screen and from video, but I feel like, with podcasts and audio content, it feels like youโre having coffee with a friend. Thatโs exactly what I wanted with all of you! Itโs another way for us to connect and another way for me to share content with you, especially through expert interviews.
The first two episodes are now live and you can subscribe through iTunes,ย Stitcher, andย Google Play.ย You can also check out all of the episodes under the โpodcastโ menu option on the blog (top right of the menu bar). The first one is a short intro episode about my history with health and fitness, in addition to some plans for the podcast. The second episode is an interview with my good friend Jess. She has SO MUCH health and fitness knowledge to share, so I was excited to record some thoughts on postpartum fitness, diastasis recti, and her upcoming movement and Pilates festival, Momentum Fest. (If youโre in Denver this weekend, be sure to check it out!)
I have SO MANY IDEAS for the podcast and canโt wait to continue to share them with you! If you have any feedback or requests for upcoming episodes, please let me know!
If you would subscribe and rate the podcast so more people can see it, Iโd appreciate your help so much.

Love this! So Excited! I am going to listen to them today! I subscribed to the podcast!
I would love to hear experts on different diet trends, for example: Paleo, whole 30, vegetarian, ketogenic diet, etc and see the different benefits of each to learn more!
I would like to see discussion on the different eating styles – paleo, keto, whole 30, etc.
I rated the podcast!
I’ve never been a podcast person, b/c I just prefer to read. But by office recently moved and now I walk outside for lunch every day (I used to be in an old converted mall, so I’d actually read a book while I walked laps!)… and I’ve started listening to podcasts, and I love it! I needed a new one, so I’m so excited you are starting one! I love to hear about you juggle life with children and everything else, and maybe tips on how you seem to constantly have good food on hand.

Can’t wait to listen! ******
I would love to hear about emotional eating and how to stop that.
Thanks for all your tips!

For the pod, I love it when hosts ask guests one question thatโs the same to all their guests. Since your podcast is called โHealthy in Real Life,โ maybe you could ask each guest for one tip that keeps them healthy whether itโs a fitness tip, self care, food/cooking, or something else. It would also be fun if you interviewed the Pilot!!

I would like to hear about real life balance (with kids) of caffeine, sugar, exercise, and meal prep vs eating “easy”-out, prepared foods, convenience foods, etc.
I subscribed to your podcast!
I reviewed your podcast!
I would like to hear product reviews and ideas for staying mentally tough when you are physically challenged to the max!
Submitted a rating! Fun to listen to the blog come to life! ๐
Yay, congrats!! Would love to see a podcast about eating healthy vs. orthorexia.
Love this giveaway *********
I’d like to hear about meal prep specifics-how much time, best gadgets (I love my kitchenaid shredding/slicer attachment), best storage to keep greens, etc fresh. Thnaks!****
Canโt wait to listen! ******
Would like to hear about integrating nutrition with fitness eg how to eat throughout the day to get the nutrients you need given fitness activity and how to adjust when not so active
I’d like to hear about life transitions as you move from place to place and how to connect with your new community

Love seeing you expand to podcasts! *****
I’d love to hear about some of your favorite things (food, house products, etc.) and about how your philosophy on food and fitness has changed over the years. Congrats on the podcast!
I’d love to hear about how to safely modify workouts if you are new to the fitness game (I’m talking brand new) or if you are dealing with asthma ๐ You might not be the expert on it, but I haven’t been able to find any podcasts that talk about how to work out with asthma. I know it’s a medical thing, but there should be something out there… even if the advice is to call your doctor.
Oh and I think the podcast is awesome ******
Congrats on the podcast! I always like your blog posts where you feature different workout types/styles. It’d be neat to hear that on the podcast too. Whenever I’m interested in trying a new class/workout type I haven’t done before I like reading about the pros and cons and the “type” of people it’s good for.*********
So excited for your podcast! Iโd love to hear more on day in the life/children things- you always seem to be having a great time doing the motherhood thing with no child meltdowns- I feel like whenever we do fun things our kids are disasters!
I think it’d be awesome to hear about overdoing it on HIIT on the podcast, and about creating a safe workout routine!

I think a guest interview would be fun to hear on the podcast. Way to go on making this happen Gina!!
I would love to hear different guest speakers.
I love guest interviews on the postcast – keep them going! Also, simply balancing life – kids/workouts/etc.
Thanks for putting this together! Love listening in my car ****
Yay! I’m excited to listen during my walk with the pups tonight! I’m looking forward to the one on Postpartum fitness and Diastasis Recti, since i’m currently 27 weeks pregnant!! *****
Congrats on your podcast Gina!*****

Congratulations! I hope you keep the podcasts shortform- like 20-30 minutes. Iโd love to hear an episode about your training credentials and the process behind them!

I’d love to hear about how you deal with having to change up your fitness routine *****
I would love to hear an episode on your take on carb cycling or intermitant fasting******

I would love to hear about how much cardio is “too much” cardio? I love a good sweat almost every time I workout – but have been warned of “damaging the metabolism.” How do you safely and effectively do cardio? Even when I lift weights, my heart rate is elevated enough to make me bust a sweat. I hear conflicting information that warns of too much cardio, but then, there are others who prefer cardio/endurance exercise and sports. Thanks in advance! *****
I’d like to hear more about making a living through your own blog and brand โ how things have changed, where it’s all going, necessary skills for success, etc.!
LOVE this! So excited to listen today. I would love to see episodes on fitness plateaus (how often we should be switching our workout routine, how much we truly have to switch it up, how to identify that we may be in “plateau” etc) ๐ Also would love to hear tips on relocating to a new city (finding doctors, hair dressers, schools, dog sitters you name it!).
I subscribed and am listening to it right now on my lunch break! I would love to hear more about food trends on the podcast (keto, paleo, whole 30 etc…) vs a sustainable healthy diet/lifestyle. I also like your focus on blog posts and think that a focus on post in podcast format would be cool.
