Week of giveaways: Final Giveaway- ENDED
This week has been pretty much amazeballs. Thank you again to everyone for participating, sending blog love, and for your kind and wonderful comments. I’m truly lucky to *know* all of you, and am also grateful to the companies who generously sponsored the week of giveaways.
Congratulations to the Home Goods giveaway winner!
Mary:
“I LOVE the poppy flower wall decals in my kitchen. They do a great job brightening up the space.”
Please send me your info (fitnessista at gmail dot com, subject: HOME GOODS WINNER!) and I’ll get your prize on the way 🙂
Today’s giveaway, the final one, is sponsored by one of my all-time favorite workout companies, along with Livi and Bella.
I fell in love with Physique 57 two years ago, and if we had a studio in Tucson, it would be one of my regular workout spots. Nothing has made my thighs thighs and biscuits burn quite like P57. I’m so glad they have DVDs you can do at home if you don’t have a studio near you, and I’ve done the DVDs quite a few times in addition to the usual workout suspects. I see and feel a huge difference when I have P57 in my life, and anytime I’m in NY or LA I’m excited to take a live class.
The winner of this giveaway will receive a volume 2 Physique 57 DVD, courtesy of Physique 57,
and will also win a Polar FT40 heart rate monitor, which I’ll order for you,
plus a batch of custom macaroons (chocolate, mocha, blonde, super roon with cacao nibs and goji berries, or Meyer-lemon lavender)
and whatever Whole Foods/TJs goodies find their way into the box 😉
I absolutely love my Polar heart rate monitor and wear it for all of my high-intensity workouts. Since I know how much I’m burning, I can get an idea of how much more I need to eat that day, and I always push myself a little harder when I can see how hard I’m working. It’s a fantastic workout tool and was even more helpful while I was pregnant, so I knew not to let my heart rate get too crazy high.
-With the Summer Shape Up beginning this week, this giveaway will end on FRIDAY, 6/15.
This giveaway has ended! Congratulations to the winner, Natalie.
This is my favorite giveaway so far the DVDs and the polar monitor are some things I have wanted for a very long time but I could never afford them on my own! There are sooo many reasons I have been reading this blog for the past four years but mainly because you offer so much variety! I love the Focus On post, they may be my favorite and I go back to them frequently whenever I’m deciding to try a new fitness class or DVD. I’m only 21 but I love the family post because I take of a baby full time, and you have been very helpful! I would like to see more videos! Things like how to’s (more hair ideas please!) , product reviews, fitness challenges/ quick workout videos. Hope this helps
Thank you so much to all of you for your amazing feedback, comments and sweet wishes. I’m so fortunate to have you in my life, and stay tuned for many more giveaways!
Thank you all so much for reading my little blog and for hanging out with me over here <3
Here’s to another amazing year!
xoxo
i wanna enter I know you want feedback as I am always asking for it too! it is quite hard to pick something out about your blog because you were the first healthy blog I started watching about a year ago (maybe over) & I still watch it so that says something! where in the world have I been all week?! lol! the new monthly calender thing is genius! honestly, i think you have covered it! that segment is extremely creative & also motivating! count me with that! but yeah, I wanna win too! lol
Love reading your blog! I would like to see more recipes.
LOVE your blog! i would love to see more workouts i can do without a gym or a video. I just recently quit my gym after 3 years because I was getting bored. Would love some ideas before I join another fitness program!
Really love this blog… my favorite things that you do are the “Focus on” posts, and I also just love your candor about the family stuff — I’m nowhere near that stage in my life, but it’s so refreshing to see some honesty about that process (I am so pissed to read you were judged for that, because it really helps me).
Don’t change a thing
xo
I am a regular follower of your blog.. I love it! My favorite part is your focus on posts.. I love how you give the good and the bad of trendy workouts and diets. And I would love, love, love that heart rate monitor!
I love your blog! I don’t think you should change a thing. 🙂 I think my favorite part is that you have different sections for different topics, I check out the family page all the time, and the updates on little livi are adorable!
+plus, a polar heart rate monitor would be killer.
Thanks for being awesome!
xoxo
Pinned the summer shape up! http://pinterest.com/pin/124271270938251840/
I’m a new mom as well, so I love the baby updates. My guy is 7 months old, so a bit older than your gal.
I’d like to see more giveaways like this 🙂 I’m determined to try one of your macaroons some day!!! But also, more of your playlists. Your music inspires me and makes working out more fun!
I love the workouts because they help me shake things out in my workout regime! I also love the focus on posts. There are lots of fitness trends that I’m curious about so having them explained in detail is super helpful!
The summer shape up and the chocolate mug cake both pinned and shared on facebook!

😉
I love so much about your blog – the workout suggestions, the inspirational quotes, and the real posts about being a woman/wife/mom. I also appreciate that you recognize how your healthy lifestyle attitude has evolved. I think it’s important for people who like to go back and read old posts to see some more about how adding yolks and meat and less scheduled workouts have only increased your health and fitness!
xo
I actually really like everything about the blog. There is a really nice balance of topics. I wouldn’t change a thing!
Stumbled onto your blog through sweettoothsweetlife.com. I love your honesty about struggles in fitness/food, reviews on different fitness programs, and sense of humor. Perfectly balanced. One of my daily reads for sure!
Love the blog! I especially enjoy your “focus on” posts- even if its a diet or exercise you don’t agree with/love- you still talk about it with an open mind {or whoever is writing it}. I also like you have seperate tabs for unqiue posts- ex. family and fashion. Not everybody is going to love every post- so they can find them in the right areas.
@meglacey
I really like your blog. It has a very down to earth quality about it that makes you feel more uplifted motivated about eating healthy and working out, whereas alot of similar blogs out there just make you feel overwhelmed. My favorites are when you do recipe posts, as you almost always come up with something entirelly unique to share.
Wow look at all the comments! Crazy! I love reading your blog because it is always positive and uplifting. I am inspired to be healthier because of it. I have the first edition of the Physique 57 videos and have been coveting the second edition for a long time but haven’t purchased them yet. I would love to win them!!! The macaroons wouldn’t be so bad either 😉
Love your blog! I have a baby girl that is 2 months older than yours. I have already lost the baby weight, but look for new ideas to mix it up. Your blog is perfect for that. I am also inspired but the fact that you have time to do everything that you do!
I’ve recently started reading your blog and have come to love the workout posts. I recently have enjoyed the posts for the medicine ball and stability ball workouts. I’m also really excited to start this new summer shape up plan because it’s so helpful to me to have a plan to follow so I don’t get bored or slack off. I have trained in the past with a heart rate monitor and it is one of my favorite things in the world!! I would haven’t tried the polar watch before but I’ve heard really good things about it.

Hi! I’m a long time follower of the blog and I absolutely love it. I enjoy reading about your healthy and active lifestyle and love that you inspire so many others (including myself) to do the same. I think it’s great that you have shown that eating healthily does not mean you have to eat like a rabbit, and that you don’t need to be a world-class athlete to exercise and take care of your body. Most importantly, I love how normal you are – you have your ups & downs and experience the same struggles and moments of joy, to which most of us can relate. Thank you for sharing your life with us! As to what I’d like to see more of, I think it would interesting to do like a monthly Q&A from emails – I’d love to see what others are concerned/curious about and what your input is. Lastly, more pictures of Livi would be amazing since she’s just so gosh darn cute!!
I like the several workout options you provide… gives me inspiration! Congrats on the anniversary!
You simply inspire me with your enthusiasm about working out and eating well. I love your recipes and the workouts that you obviously spend a lot of time putting together. It has been nice getting to know you through your blog 🙂
I love reading your blog everyday. If you can make it work, being a wife and new mom, so can I! I’m in college now but you’re a great example of how to lead a healthy and balanced lifestyle, thank you for the daily inspiration!
I love the food pics. Inspiring. Provides ideas for healthy and balanced eating. Keeps me accountable. 🙂
I’m really loving reading all of the summer/winter shape-ups. I’m currently studying to get my PT Certification, so those are great and inspiring!
Love this giveaway!!!! I love the family posts – I don’t have kids on my own yet, but I appreciate the honesty and transparency that you’ve given your readers. I would love to see more workouts too – but I’ve seen you do more and more of those, so I guess overall I’m really happy! I would LOVE YOU FOREVER if you posted a macaroon recipe, but I think that’s wishful thinking. Worth asking though, right??
I’ve been reading your blog for 6 months and am totally hooked. I love the workouts, recipes and cute family stories. Maybe more product reviews or recipes? BTW, the Focus On posts are a great reference! Just started Turbo Fire! 🙂
Hey Gina!
Thanks for the daily inspiration…I love your blog and I have learned a ton from you:) So thanks! I love the Shweaty workouts and the Summer Shape Ups and the recipes, so keep ’em coming! I have been thinking and I came up with a few ideas for new things for you to post. Here goes!
1. How about posting some Zumba videos? My schedule doesn’t work out for me to take Zumba here but I would totally put my laptop in the living room and turn up the sound and follow you in a Zumba workout;) Even if it’s just 10 minutes…that would be great!
2. Maybe you could pick a muscle group each month (say, abs) and then give us a power-move each week of the month that works lots of muscles, but especially targets the abs. I would love to learn more multi-muscle targeting exercises!
3. This idea would be a way to invite reader feedback and share a variety of ideas in one post. How about you write a post talking about your favorite way to cook ____ (say tofu) and then invite readers to comment with their favorite tofu recipe. Then, a few days later, you would write a new post with your top 10 (ish) favorite reader recipes.
Those are just my ideas! Please keep up the amazing work!
Allie
love these- thank you!
I’m definitely always a fan of more giveaways 🙂 Love your blog though and keep doing what you are doing!
I love everything about the blog because it’s fun and informative. If there was one small change – please make the calendar for the workout printable. It would be really helpful to pin up on my collage board 🙂
I pinned the breakfast cookie. So delicious!!!!!!!!!!! http://pinterest.com/pin/11892386486516185/

Commented earlier!
I love reading posts about what you eat on a daily basis. I also really enjoy reading about all things baby and how you are handling motherhood!
Love the way you incorporate all aspects of your healthy life!
Ah! I have been dying to try these work-outs since you first did the Focus-On Post! However, I of course do not have a studio ANYWHERE near me! I would love to give Physique 57 a try and get the DVDs in the near future when I am not a broke college student!
Also, thank you for adding a print button to all your blog posts! BEST IDEA TO PRINT OUT WORKOUTS
no prob! glad it’s been helpful 🙂
Totally agree – I LOVE the easy “print” option !
I really enjoy she reviews of fitness DVD’s. I also love the family posts & to hear about what olivia is up to! I would be interested to hear about how you became a Zumba instructor and what that training was like?
I love reading the blog on my lunch breaks! It would be great to see a meal planning/grocery list type of post… Maybe with some budget tips? You always seem to have a good variety of staples on hand!
http://pinterest.com/pin/127086020705356865/
I love hearing about all your meal, they give me great ideas since I’m not that creative in the kitchen 🙂
Feedback…one of two healthy blogs I check daily for the last 2 years! Love the addition of Liv, seeing you two together makes me smile. (love the duck pix)
I love your blog, Gina! You have a great mix of food & exercise info plus I love hearing about your exploits w/ the Pilot & Livi.
I need more info on how you make it work. I know you have your handy notebook, but for some reason I can’t preplan. I go grocery shopping on the weekend and get lots of veggies, but then when I get home I don’t have a plan. I love all your salads that you create, but I feel rushed at night and end up making Hamburger Helper and opening a can of green beans. I have 3 children and work full time, so when I get home I am picking up the house and doing laundry along with preparing a meal. When do you plan your meals? Do you go to the store every day? Also, when I clicked on the protein yogurt, there was a picture of a salad in a mixing bowl. Do you remember what that was?
omg hamburger helper was one of the meals of my childhood- why is it so good?! i plan my meals on sunday and try to do one big grocery shop sunday and then a midday trip for the random few things i forgot or ran out of
protein yogurt- mix yogurt with protein powder and frozen berries in the food processor. top with nut butter if you like 🙂
I’d love to win this giveaway, especially the watch- I’ve been wanting one for a while and yesterday I registered for a few races, would be perfect timing! In the coming year I’d love to hear more about workouts and recipes 🙂 Similar to your house, I’m a big produce person and my man is all about the meat- finding recipes that balance the two would be great!
This is a hard entry question because I already LOVE your blog! I love the Winter and Summer Shape Ups so much that I want more of them! Could you up them to four times a year? Or extend them to 6-weeks? They help motivate me to lift weights. I’m a cardio-queen, but I never know what to do with weights for strength, and the big-muscley guys at the gym intimidate me, so thanks for giving me the moves and courage!
Also, I think you should invent something like Recipage, but for fitness… I’m sure you’ve seen other blogs use Recipage to search for recipes. I think there needs to be a way to search for different fitness workouts/moves/routines on blogs. (You could search by cardio, strength, and by what muscles you want to target.) Anyway, I think you’d be the gal to do it!!!
Thank you again for all that you already do! 🙂
I love your reviews (Focus On) of the different programs out there and not afraid to give the good with the bad.
I do love the blog though… I’ve been reading ever since the early Valdosta days. 🙂
I pinned the first week of Summer Shape up. Can’t wait to start TOMORROW!! <3 Thanks Gina
oops, here’s the Pin: http://pinterest.com/nikki8679/
I loove the new hair to-dos! <3 But I mostly love the variety of recipes! I'm from the North East, so your style of food is such a breath of fresh air! I tried cooking tamales for the first time the other night….um yum??????? 🙂
I pinned your aaaaaaaaaaamazing Tamales recipe! http://pinterest.com/pin/8092474300940846/
I think you should do a Focus On: Eat Clean Diet!! I’d love to read that post!!
I love seeing what you eat everyday. It’s great motivation to clean up my eats!
