Oh hey 🙂 How’s your Friday treating ya?
Thanks for the well wishes for my little bro. His ACL was completely torn and he now has a cadaver ACL. He keeps joking that he has a zombie ACL and he hopes it belonged to a basketball player. Nice, huh? I’m glad the surgery went well and he’s in good spirits <3
So I have to post a pic of the Pilot’s b-fast at the Good Egg, because it ended up being pretty legendary:
French toast with strawberries, chorizo, peach yogurt and bacon. He ate ALL of it. Never ceases to amaze me 😉
Lunch was noteworthy today:
Tuna salad boats 🙂
I made some tuna salad with TJs albacore toonie and most of a container of goat’s milk yogurt:
with a red bell pepper, some onion, chives, carrot, celery (! I’ve been brave lately)
garlic, Dijon mustard, sea salt, pepper, a dollop of spicy hummus, nutritional yeast and paprika.
It was SO good and refreshing with romaine lettuce leaves and I also munched some Terra chips (the new Mexican flavor!) when I got to the madre’s.
Hit. The. Spot.
Post-Bodyrock shake:
Today I did the “All I Want for Christmas is Abs” workout, which was beastly as ever. Only 12 minutes and I was sweating like a monkey.
I walked around the track afterwards until my legs stopped shaking 😉
For today’s Fashion Friday and in honor of April Fools, I *was* going to do ways to dress up your Snuggie/Slanket/whatever they’re called. (Like by adding a cute belt, wedge shoes, first-date Snuggie and dinner party Snuggie, etc)
Then two things dawned on me:
1. It wasn’t that funny and I don’t want to offend anyone who owns and loves their Snuggie.
2. I kind of want one… plus a matching one for Bella.
Awesome, right?
So tell me this:
Do you have a Snuggie? Are they as convenient and comfy as they look?
I’m 100% sure the Pilot would make fun of me for wearing a wizard robe about the house, but they look pretty amazeballs.
I’m off to teach my last night at the old studio- we’re moving to a bigger one 🙂

I have a snuggie and I absolutely love it! I get made fun of all the time but I don’t care. They’re just jealous 😉
haha on that snuggie joke – I would have laughed for sure. I don’t have a Snuggie… I kind of boycotted them.
I don’t own a snuggie… I did for a few days after I jokingly posted on facebook “I wonder if they sell snuggies in Hawaii…it’s cold” and a distant family member saw my post and thought I was serious about wanting one so she bought me one and shipped it to Hawaii. I ended up donating it. But there have been days since that I wish I had it 🙂 Especially on some long airline flights when it’s always cold.

I think the Snuggie fashion post would have been hilarious! I don’t have one, but the robe I own is waaaayyy to big for me, and I kinda feel like I have a snuggie on. I love it!
I totally rock a snug, and so does Basil !! he’s a little dachshund so it’s kinda big on him, but he likes it. I haven’t worn mine much lately, actually Basil likes to burrow in mine.

My roommate got me a Snuggie for Christmas one year because I’m always cold, but I would personally rather wear a robe or use a blanket.

I love the dog snuggies! I had a snuggie. My friends and I all got matching ones as a joke. They are pretty comfortable, but I’m small (5’1″) and it totally got in my way. The sleeves were too long and the whole thing was just huge so I was ALWAYS tripping over it. Maybe if you’re just sitting on the couch, they’re good…but I tried to do too much in mine haha
Yes!! I have TWO pink snuggies! Love them! One is the original snuggies, but the BEST one is the NAP version from Brookstone. It’s like a snuggie on steroids, perfectly suited for a queen. It is SOOOO soft and comfy. You would love it for sure : ) My husband even steals it from time to time…kind of funny cuz it’s pink : )
Yes I have a Snuggie — a cheetah print one. I love it — and I have tied my robe belt around it so it stays wrapped all around me.
Perfect for watching movies or reading a book, and I’m probably going to bring it to the baseball game we’re going to next weekend — it is supposed to be chilly!
I made fun of them until I got one- I LOVE it! My husband bought it for me as a joke, but I use it all the time. It’s perfect for reading (the sleeves do make a difference), but the best use is in the car for road trips because I am always freezing and my husband is always hot. It makes arguments over the air conditioner a thing of the past!
Someone have my mom a snuggie as a joke last year, but its actually pretty awesome!
I do not have a Snuggle, but I think I could rock it 🙂 My sister-in-law has one and loves it to bits.
Haha I think that would have been hilarious!! I do not have one either, but I’m sure you could make it look fashionable Gina! I’m definitely going to check out that workout because abs are my target area for April!
the snuggie seems like it could be a good idea, my bf laughs everytime i mention that i want one. i just put on a sweater instead lol

As a joke, I got my boyfriend a leopard-print snuggie for his birthday this year. I thought he’d roll his eyes, but he put it on right away and curled up in bed. To his credit, he had a super-high fever and the flu, but it was the most adorable thing I’d ever seen.
I have a Snuggie. It was a gift, that nearly wasn’t. I love the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas and right around Christmas I told my husband in this long rant about how stupid I think Snuggies are. What I didn’t know was that he already had gotten me a Nightmare Before Christmas snuggie. Oops. Yes I suffer from foot in mouth disease at times. 🙂 My poor husband thought he made a bad choice but I actually really liked it. I use it more like a blanket then actually the way you are suppose to.
I love my snuggle!!! I made fun of them at first but when I got one for a joke at Christmas I decided to use it and now I use it every night when watching tv. 🙂 Get one and I bet the pilot will use it too.

Love tuna boats on romaine, it is my current fave meal 😀 Your tuna combo looks great, I’ll have to try it! I’ve been mixing my tuna with avocado and salsa.
No snuggie for me, although I should get one since I walk around with my blanket wrapped around me all the time 🙂

Isn’t a snuggie just a regular robe worn backwards? If so, then I have three. If not, no, I don’t think I’d ever own a snuggie. I would have laughed my butt off at that post, however. =)

I have a leopard print snuggle that I bought at Fred Meyer last year. It’s softer fleece than the real Snuggies and I loooove it! On cold days you can see me wearing it backwards like a robe.
Apparently when we announced we got our assignment to Alaska that immediately put the thought of snuggies into people’s minds, because we got a Slanket from family, my co-workers gave me a slanket, and another AF wife got dog Snuggies for our two jack russells – which they LOVE. 😉 Gotta admit though, they DID come in handy this winter!
My husband and I got snuggies from a frat brother of his for our wedding. It was mostly a joke, but we used them like once or twice….before taking them to Goodwill! 🙂

I have a Snuggie. It’s not all it’s cracked up to be. It’s a blanket; it feels like it, looks like it, and covers me like it. Not worth the money, really. But for a novelty, yeah, I suppose. 🙂
Snuggies rule, seriously! They are perfect for sitting on the couch watching TV! We had one for our maltichon puppy too, he seemed to like wearing it after getting haircuts.

I have a Snuggie, and it is really warm and cozy, but 2 things about it bug me. Firstly, it’s really staticky, and I end up getting a lot of shocks while wearing it around the house. Secondly, it has a bit of a plastic-y smell. I’m pretty sure they’re made of some sort of pvc product, and I worry about wearing something that is giving off smells like that. I think I would get a different brand of Snuggie, maybe one that is made from real fabric, and not fleecy-plastic stuff.
*drool* You had me at The Good Egg! Always a stop for me when I’m visiting family in Tucson (and passing through PHX on the way… 😉 So many good breakfast places in Tucson… Now, I’m hungry for breakfast out… and I’ve forgotten the content of the rest of your post… 😀
Snuggies are the best! My grandmother got them for all of girls last year for Christmas, love it!

I have a Texas snuggie & I LOVE IT!! I agree, at first I was a bit hesitant but once I got it (for christmas from family) I fell in love! Def. super comfy and perfect on cold morning while drinking coffee 😉

haha my dog (shitzu-pom) totally got a snuggie for christmas from a friend of ours! I make her wear it, though she hates it. She wore it out to the bf’s baseball game tonight, seeing as how it was pouring rain in Vancouver today. They are so comfy!! I want secretly want one too~

I saw the funniest glamour magazine tidbit where an editor went all around NYC streets wearing a snuggie and they took pics of people’s reactions. I am so not okay with them

Third: I have a snuggie and it’s great!! I love lounging around with it, or doing my lesson plans. You and Bella should definitely get matching ones!
I do own one but I promise I don’t leave the house with it. Actually, it was my fiance’s idea. We have them in “his and hers” colours….the’re pretty ugly but you can’t beat the warmth in the winter:)
