When I first started my weight loss journey, I quickly realized that it was not worth it to spend money on clothes during that time. I’d go buy an outfit for work, and it would be too big before I could wear it. It may seem like a “problem that’s not really a problem,” but clothes can be costly, and it’s a waste if you don’t get to wear them. I halted the clothing purchases since I knew my size would be temporary until I reached a healthier weight. Since then, I’ve always told my training clients to minimize clothing expenses while we’re working together, and instead to use a clothes shopping spree as an awesome reward when they hit their goal.
Many of you will hit new fitness goals with the Summer Shape Up. Even if the scale doesn’t budge -muscle is more dense than fat, so you could technically weigh the same and have a lower body fat percentage- your clothes could fit you differently. Maybe you just hit a fitness goal and want to celebrate, or could use a bit of a closet overhaul.
I’d like to share my Stitch Fix credit with a few lucky winners as the first Shape Up giveaway.
I have a credit with Stitch Fix from referring people to the brand over the past 6 months or so. At first, I thought it would be cool to get a discount on what I purchase from them since I love my monthly Stitch Fix box, and the credit continued to grow. I was trying to think of a good way to use it and quickly thought of the perfect solution: give back to YOU, since you’re the reason why I have a credit with them in the first place.
I emailed Stitch Fix to see if it would be possible to do a giveaway and they more than happy to help me set it up.
Today’s giveaway is $3500 of Stitch Fix credit: $500 each to seven lucky winners. That’s a lot of new clothes!
You don’t have to have a Stitch Fix account to enter and don’t necessarily have to be participating in Summer Shape Up.
If you’re unfamiliar with Stitch Fix, check out these posts about how it works.
Here’s how to enter:

I love Stitch Fix!! It’s like Christmas and I love seeing what the stylists think I’ll like 🙂 And the morning workout was awesome! 🙂
First time doing HIIT during my run today – it made the time fly by! And it kicked my butt in this hot Alabama summer down at Fort Rucker!
Thanks Gina! After seeing some of the awesome clothes you found via StitchFix, I would love to try it!
Looking forward to workout #1 tonight. I am one of those crazy people that like to feel sore..makes me feel like I am doing it right 🙂 And Stitchfix…I have been dying to try. Would be fun to try with some extra $ 🙂
I would absolutely LOVE and appreciate a stitch fix!! Over the past 9 months, I’ve lost 20 pounds and I just started a new job 2 weeks ago so I am completely lacking professional clothes. I’m hoping that with this weight I’ve lost, plus some toning courtesy of SSU :), I’ll be able to look and feel good in some clothes that actually fit me!
Thank you so much for this giveaway Gina. Your generosity is incredible!
OMG, I would LOVE, LOVE to win a $500 shopping spree to StitchFix. My position recently changed at work and I am in NEED of a new work outfits. I also pinned the summer shapeup as well. Can’t wait to do workout 1 this afternoon.
I would love some new clothes!
I am doing the workout after work tonight – so excited to get back into some kind of fitness/health routine! I want to win to try out some new clothes.
I have gained about 30 lbs in the past 2 years- a large part of it as a result of being on a new medication that dramatically increased my weight in short periods of time. I am tall – 5′ 9″ and carry my weight very evenly, so while I’ve gained a lot I don’t look “fat” however, the majority of my clothes no longer fit me. I would love to reward myself with some new clothes as well as fit into a lot of my old ones.
I am a teacher and have this summer off and my goal is to drop at least 15 of those lbs and be on the road to the shape I used to be in. I also want to have my best body possible health-wise (stopping that medication, working on more homeopathic medicine, etc) and shape up my eating and exercise routines before my husband and I consider having children in the next couple of years.
I’ve put on some muscle since I started lifting again and my current work clothes no longer fit. StitchFix couldn’t come at a better time!
My whole department was outsourced on March 31, 3 weeks before my daughter’s wedding. I’m still searching for a job and would love to be able to get some new duds for interviews
Thanks Gina
Oh my goodness this is such a great giveaway! I’ve been meaning to try out the website! I should probably be on the show “What not to wear” as I have 0 fashion sense. HELP! Cant wait to shed a few after the summer shape up!
What an amazing giveaway! I am losing weight for my wedding in October and most of my clothes are getting too big!! Excited to incorporate the SSU into my workout routine!
I had my second baby 9 months ago and have been doing well losing the weight and getting strong but very very little in my closet fits! 😉 I still have a ways to go but I got a great run in this morning before hubby went to work thanks to the inspiring post I read here last night!
Stitch fix would be lovely! Thanks for you’re fun and motivational blog!
Workout 1 was awesome! I was a sweaty mess and loved every minute.

oh jeez how i love stitch fix! i could totally dig some new clothes (i’ve steadily been losing weight and a lot of my work clothes are baggy or ill-fitting). i pinned and tweeted the intro post as incentive to win the shopping spree (wahooo :)), but would have done it anyway. love your blog and faithfully make a batch of ballz each weekend. thanks gina! you’re the best!
Oh my goodness I’ve been wanting to do stitch fix for so long now. I’ve been following them on instagram and facebook and they always have the cutest things. I literally haven’t purchased new clothes for myself in months! (mind you i used to shop like, every week). But I’m really starting to get sick of my wardrobe and since i’m training for a half marathon not everything fits the same!
I would love to win as I’ve read how much you love the clothes you get from Stich Fix. Haven’t done the first workout yet, but will do it when I am home from work! Thanks for the motivation!!
How great! I’ve been wanting to try Stitch Fix since all of your clothes are so cute, but my student budget won’t allow it:(
Did my HIT workout and tonight I’m doing a class that incorporates all of the moves from WO#1

I would love to win the stitch fix credit! After seeing all of your amazing outfits and having a very difficult time shopping for my body type, I would die to have the opportunity of some new outfits picked out just for me and the professional help 🙂

This would be an amazing prize to win.
Thanks Gina!
I would love to try out Stitch Fix! I am trying to pinch a few pennies, but I am in desperate need of some new clothing. I have wanted to try Stitch Fix for so long and this would be a great way to see if it is something I could get on board with!!
I would love to win because all the clothes from Stitch Fix look amazing and I love how they give you ideas with how to wear them.
I would love to win the Stitch Fix credit because my wardrobe is definitely in need of a revamping! We just moved across the country, and I haven’t had the time to shop yet. My job at a gym requires yoga pants and t-shirts daily, so I need something fun to wear on the weekend nights! 🙂
I would love a Stitchfix because I am in a total mommy clothing rut! I need to feel cute and beautiful again, even if its just to go to storytime at the library!
Amazing!! I’ve been wishing for a monthly stitchfix ever since you first mentioned it, but I just couldn’t justify spending the money right now. This would be incredible! I need some new clothes for a new job in September, too!
I’m in the process of losing weight and could use some new clothes. A lot of mine are old and tired looking.
I decided awhile ago that stitch fix would be my reward once I got to the size I am happy with and know I can stay at. Your posts about stitch fix are awesome!
I have been following your Stitch Fix obsession and have been wanting to try it out – this would be my perfect opportunity! I have a very busy job so it is hard for me to take the time to shop.
Started SSU today and recruited two girls from work to try it with me:)
New clothes are so much fun and a great reward for a lot of hard work exercising and eating well. I’d LOVE to win a Stitch Fix credit, so I can treat myself after the SSU!! Winning this giveaway would be SO motivating! Workout 1 was a blast this morning!
What an awesome giveaway! I am currently in between sizes, and am loking especially “dumpy” in my work clothes. I also have zero fashion sense- I need professional help! I would love to try out some new clothes!
I’m doing workout 1 on my lunch break! Can’t wait!
Wow I would love to win the Stitch Fix credit my wardrobe is seriously lacking 🙂 and I’m sure once I’m done with Summer Shape Up I could look and feel even better in those new clothes! I’ll be doing my workout soon once me little girl lays down for her nap!
I pinned your #summershapeup intro post 🙂

Workout #1 was so tough, but I loved it! I was so sweaty by the end, it was disgusting, haha. Can’t wait to do it again! I would love to win the Stitch Fix credit because I’m trying to transition my wardrobe to fit more business casual pieces for my new job. 🙂
Cool! Working out to the 80s mix you posted right now! 🙂
I would love to win the Stitch Fix credit, new summer clothes woop! 🙂
Oh my gosh I would love to win this! I had a baby about 4 months ago and my body is (finally) starting to feel like my own again. I have NO idea what’s in style though — this would be perfect to get mama looking fashionable again 🙂
After all those squats and squat jumps this AM I would lovee to win a new pair of shorts! I haven’t bought any yet this season and feel my old ones are
Looking like they need an update. Thank you for your generosity and for kicking
my butt with workout 1!
I’d love to win this giveaway! I’m a really terrible shopper..no sense of style whatsoever. Stitchfix would help a lot! 🙂
I love that the HIIT training on the calendar forced me to push my self more than my usual steady state cardio!
I subscribed to your Sage Dance Studio channel.
I am getting married in 3 weeks and due to being healthy and working out I have dropped sizes and would love some new honeymoon clothes! As always, LOVE your shape ups Gina!
I just dropped two sizes and would love new clothes!!!
I’d love to try Stitch Fix, because I don’t often branch out in my fashion choices. I would love to see what someone else can pick out for me based on my clothing preferences. I’m currently looking for your SSU e-mail sign up…where is it???
I would LOVE to win the StitchFix – I am getting to that point where many of my clothes are a little too “immature” and with being in grad school it’s tough to go buy new clothes all of the time!! Workout # 1 will be done a little later today, cannot wait 🙂
I would LOVEEEEEE to win $500 to stichfix! I’ve lost 40 pounds and recently started upping my strength and cardio routine at the gym. Although I haven’t lost any weight recently, my body has DEFINITELY changed. I have about 2 outfits that actually fit me – everything else just doesn’t anymore. No complaints about that, but my public appearance is definitely suffering 🙂
