Winter Shape Up 2015: Week 3

Hi friends! Welcome to Week 3 of Winter Shape Up! Anne and I are absolutely loving all of your amazing check-ins from the first two weeks; keep up the hard work and that incredible intensity! I’m so happy that you’re enjoying the workouts and videos so far, too. <3

    Pumped for week 3! I did a 20 minute cardio session and a 30 minute kettlebell workout since I will be doing barre tomorrow.

    I did a 40 minute DVD home workout and ran on the treadmill for an hour! My workouts have to be done at home because of my twin babies, but I am still getting them in!

    Yesterday was a relaxing yoga session and a Pop Pilates video. Keeping it light yesterday to prepare for this week’s workouts!

    I guess you could say I was not prepared when you launched the Winter Shape up program–I guess I’ll tune into the next challenge you host if I’m not busy with postsecondary applications!

    Got my workout in on Saturday and Sunday which was the first in a while for me. So glad the shape up is going well for everyone, and look forward to the weeks to come. Happy Monday!

    Did the barre burner this morning! Wow, my legs are total jello, but I feel great! This time I added in some of the challenges (lifting one leg at a time, etc.). Really loving this year’s winter shape up!

    Since I don’t have access to a treadmill, Zumba is cancelled due to snow, and the snow is keeping me from doing anything outdoors except for shoveling, today I’ll do the Insanity Cardio warm up X2 and workout #3. Happy snow day, fellow Northeasterners! 🙂

    Great photos! I am on a new plan now that is a two day split, and I really like this set up. It allows for a simple cardio day in between and you can knock it all off before the weekend. I have hear so much about SizzleFish I need to give it a try!

    Took a rest day on Saturday to go wine tasting with friends so yesterday I had an awesome run on the Saunders-Monticello trail (4 miles uphill ah!) in Charlottesville, VA. The weather was so beautiful (71 degrees in February) that I decided to walk the trail a second time for a total of 8 miles!

    This is totally weird and random, but I have Thalassophobia, and your WSU pic of the penguin coming up out of the water actually gives me the heebee jeebies! I totally love that you and Anne do this for all of us, but I can hardly look at the thumbnail when you share Shape Up posts lol.

    Hello, just checking in for today’s workout. I had to modify #6 because I don’t have a treadmill or gym near me right now. I went on a 40 minute walk and did 5 minutes normal pace, 5 mintues increased pace, etc. I also just finished #3 and oh my comet and stars, my legs are shaking (in a good way of course). Thank you for such a great workout today.

    Yesterday I had a much needed rest day. I took a nap with my little dude who has a nasty cold and I think the nap is helping me fight off that cold. Best use of time ever!

    These check-ins are fun…definitely holding me accountable since seeing everyone else hit it hard motivates me to get my body moving. I goofed and did Workout #4 this morning, realized my mistake, so I did workout #6 at lunch (treadmill had a short in it somewhere and shocked me every time I upped the speed…talk about a jolt). I have an hour of yoga tonight, so I’ll do the barre workout before work tomorrow.

    Workout 6 on the treadmill and then did a Total Body workout with weights. I was feeling a little bit more than a Barre workout. I’m more of a heart pumping weights kinda gal 🙂

    Completed today’s workout! I went straight to the gym after completing an overnight shift so it was a bit of a slow start, but I quickly got back up to normal and finished strong!
