Hi friends! Welcome to Week 3 of Winter Shape Up! Anne and I are absolutely loving all of your amazing check-ins from the first two weeks; keep up the hard work and that incredible intensity! I’m so happy that you’re enjoying the workouts and videos so far, too. <3

last night i wasn’t feeling great so i took the night off and today i have plans after work followed by a huge paper to write. literally just did the leg burner in the bathroom at work to get in at least something. 🙂
Finished my steady state cardio by 6:30am today 🙂
Did workouts #3 and 2! Definitely feeling the afterburn in my quads!! I’m going to need to give them some foam roller love tonight after work 😉

Yesterday I took a cardio hip-hop class. so much fun!
On Thursdays I have been doing body Pump! I love it
I switched it up this week and did a steady state run today.

Did my steady state on the elliptical and treadmill this morning
Yesterday I did Zumba at home for 30 minutes. I have a 10 month old, have to get in my work out somehow!
Did workouts 3 and 2 yesterday. Holy legs.
So, this might be a dumb question, but how do you get videos to play at the gym on your phone when there’s spotty wifi? I got through probably half of workout 3 today before I couldn’t take all the pauses for buffering 🙁

lunchtime outdoor yoga plus a walk around campus for some extra fresh air today
Just did a nice 3 mile run. 🙂
Did a three-mile run this morning (and broke my treadmill – whomp whomp).
Today was yoga at noon! We did some iyengar in class and it felt so good!
did workout 2 today. and an hour long walk with the dog this morning. and another walk to happen tonight!
Hill sprints + 20 minute full body circuit
did workout #2 and some upper body weight training! no way my legs could have handled a barre video on top of that!
Switched it up a little did w/o 2 and conquer cardio hill on TM for 42 mins.
Workout 2 and 3 today so sweaty!
Workout #3 before work, 40 minute Bosu call circuit at lunch with one minute on 10 seconds of rest. then a 2 mile hilly hike in fresh snowp after work with the dog.
Completed the barre And HIIT videos today! Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy the workouts with videos! I know that they are a lot of work but I find the workout so much more fun and the time seems to fly by! Can’t wait to try the new barre video that you posted today! Thanks so much!
A little steady-state elliptical today and an hour long Strength Challenge class. Tomorrow will be Workout #2 and hopefully #3 if time!

Long and very busy day. Still haven’t gotten my workout in.
Yoga class this morning. 🙂
a very cold 40 minute walk with the dog and I did about 15 minutes of ab exercises.
Checking in for yesterday. I did twenty minutes of intervals and a Body Pump class.
Just did a 4.25 mile treadmill run with some intervals thrown in. I can’t wait until I can run outside again!
I was up bright and early this morning to get my 30 mins of steady state in this morning before I spend the rest of the day with my husband; we find out if we are having a boy or a girl today!!

Did some arm workout videos this morning, then a rest day! First rest day of the week, my body is definitely tired and ready for it!

Enjoying my much-needed rest day today after flipping Friday and Wednesday on the schedule!
Such a huge fail of a workout week! I’m having some ongoing foot issues and finally heard from my physical therapist on Monday that I should avoid running/weight-bearing workouts for a couple of week. So, I just totally laid off for a few days and FINALLY got back with a good spin on my trainer this morning. Not a great week but, as you say, always better to honor your body, allow the rest it needs and work back up to your fitness when you’re better. (At least that’s what I keep telling myself when I feel down this week…)
lunchtime “nature walk” as part a staff wellness challenge and added on another mile or so afterwards. apartment gym has been unavailable all this week so it’s been a LOT of walking for me but i believe the gym will be open again tomorrow!
Total rest day for me today!
warm up on elliptical (10 min) + Workout #4 (3x) + a variation of Workout #6 on the treadmill.
Did 90 min Bikram Yoga class. My third one and I’m getting acclimated to the heat and new style of yoga. I was afraid to try it and I was so proud when I finished my first class without fainting!
So yesterday I was doing workout 1 at the gym and midway through this person comes into the weights area and starts mimicking everything I’m doing. It was super awkward and I didn’t really know what to do so I just kept plugging away and finished the workout. I think that maybe they were trying to scare me off so they could have the room to themselves… I told my husband and he said they probably just thought I was doing a cool workout, haha. So thanks for making such a cool workout I guess 🙂
