July 26: Tabata Thursday
Hi friends! I’m in between classes right now, but wanted to get up this week’s Tabata Thursday video!
We ALL have 4 minutes to spare- shake (or jump, muaha) those legs out and you’ll feel much better.

Some things to remember:
-Always warm up and cool down before any type of interval training. Remember that this is an advanced style of training, and not something to just jump into. If you’re just getting started, start with some basic intervals and a consistent cardio routine before venturing into the crazy stuff.
-Check with a doc before making any fitness changes and modify as necessary. You know your body best, so don’t do anything that hurts or aggravates current injuries. Let ’em heal!
-Alternate interval training with rest days or steady state. Your heart is a muscle- remember, it needs rest, too! Check out the July workout calendar for ideas on how to incorporate Tabata Thursdays into your routine.

Thanks for this Gina!! Loove the mountain climbers into plank jacks–I see we have a common love for Zuzka moves. You are looking soo lean and toned girl!! I did some Tabata too today but did a mix of my own moves–burpees; low jacks; squat jumps; mountain climbers. Great stuff!

I don’t mean to sound creepy or anything but what sports bra are you wearing? I couldn’t help but notice that your “girls” stay put. I have such a problem with mine and it often interferes with my workout. So annoying! Hope you don’t mind me asking that. I just really need a couple of awesome sports bras.

i was wearing the flow y bra from lululemon, which is my everything bra. i wear it for yoga, weights, zumba, sleeping (i always sleep in a sports bra), and around the casa
for high impact stuff, like tabata or sprints, i like the ta ta tamer the best. the girls don’t move AT ALL. it’s amazing haha. they do run a little small through, so i recommend going to a store to try one on instead of just ordering online

My first Tabata! It was so great! So much fun. I doubt my downstairs neighbors appreciated it ha ha. But it was only 4 minutes… and I’m still panting! woooo!
Boom ba doom! BUTT KICKER. Love tabata.
Warmed up with a zumba class (because I’m crazy) and just finished tabata!! I’m currently between classes and was doing my tabata before the hip hop class I teach. Some of my students came in early and were looking at me like I was crazy (probably because I was screaming and grunting the whole time). Off to teach!!

Awesome video! I coach a high school cheerleading team. We did this video twice this morning for practice. They hated it, I loved it. The jumps help with their kicks!! They are also great because they are quick, which works well for an hour practice. I plan on using the others in the coming practices!! Thanks again!
This week, my boyfriend walked in on me doing Tabata Thursday in my underwear.
He didn’t complain…or even ask what I was doing.
